The rooms are really tiny .. but it was a very comfortable stay .. a nice experience .. lovely breakfast and the staff were very helpful and friendly attending to all our needs .. its a passenger ship and as such even the toilets were a tiny .. but all in all a fun experience .. i would recommend this place .. we had a few hiccups but the staff were doin their best to keep us comfortable. i would give it a 3.5/5 considering the price+location+facilities.

It was the second time I stayed at the Avanti Passanger Ship, and I returned for a reason. It is small, friendly, cozy, and it is a SHIP! :) Which has a specific atmosphere, although naturally the cabins are limited in size, so to speak. No bar or vivid nightlife, so you shouldn't choose it if you're looking for a party place, but otherwise it is good value for your money.

The Avanti was just what we were looking for. A place with character near enough to the centre for us to explore Amsterdam. It was close enough to Central Station for us to walk around the city and also close enough to nightlife and places to eat. The cabin was small but manageable even for 2 girls with luggage, and the showers were clean & hot! Staff and other guests were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend the Avanti as a value for money place to stay in Amsterdam.

I absolutely loved my stay!! It was a new experience, the boat is lovely, having breakfast on the water is really fun (and breakfast was very nice!). Guy who was running the thing was polite, you get your own key, the rooms are tiny as are always on boats. The location is nice, is not directly in the center but is a very short walk. all in all i totally recommend it!!

The Room was extrem small and 1 of the Beds are just a half one. A very very small window. Shower and Toiletts are clean and OK. The breakfirst is very simple 2 kids of Brett, one of chees und 3 of meet. Coffee, 2 kinds of Tee and same cerials.

The hostel is really beautiful, with very friendly atmosphere and excellent staff. The rooms are so clean you could eat off the floor. The beds are really small and the hostel is telling the truth when warning that the rooms are tiny. The central station is just a 10-minute walk away. The breakfast is good, includes ham, cheese, some jams and peanut butter, cornflakes, apples. The common space is spacious, with a TV, comfortable couch and lots of tables.

I loved that my friend and I had our own room, but it is TINY. Obviously to be expected on a boat, but beware if you have a lot of luggage. The other people were a bit sketchy (the other guests). Maybe to be expected in Amsterdam, I don't know. The ship is about a 10 minute walk from the red light district, and a ten minute walk from central station.

Had a great 3 night stay on the ship. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, very cozy bunks, although small, but that was expected on the ship. Excellent breakfast too! Keep up the good job!

The rooms are SMALL. Like, impossible for two people to be getting dressed at the same time small. We were fine with it but if you're above average height you're probably not going to be too comfortable. But other than that we loved it! Great character, the owner was so nice, a pretty good layout for free breakfast, and it's only like a 10 minute walk from central station and the city center.

The most awesome hostel I've ever been. It's a ship! On the water! With captain!!! Really adds up to the city atmosphere.

We couldn't get in at first because we needed a code that was never emailed to us. He said he would fix this problem. Make sure you ask him for the internet code.

Really charming location, downright cool staff. Really enjoyed our stay. Only minus: 60Euros a night for a room with less than four square meters and a bed you can hardly turn in feels even much for Amsterdam (I'm not even as tall as the average dutch man and less than average strong)
