The only bad part was the shower was tiny and cold. Be prepared for small rooms, but great location. It's really clean and the breakfast in the morning is good. Lukas is awesome!

Wonderful host and best breakfast in a hostel so far! Lovely family atmosphere onboard a great boat in a central location. Added a great experience to Amsterdam.

I would definitely recommend the Maria Alberta to anyone staying in Amsterdam! Captain Lucas is funny, informative and great at making pancakes! I was in the smallest room that was meant for two people, but I didn't have very much room for just myself. I know that the other rooms had a bit more space. It's right down the street from Centraal Station and it takes about 10-15 or so minutes to walk to the city centre. Wonderful experience to stay on a boat! Definitely worth it.

Maria Alberta is a perfect alternative to standard hotel accommodation. It has a authentic atmosphere and is incredibly cozy. It's locations is central, walking distance to the city center, central station and other main venues. Very nice service and generous breakfast. Highly recommendable!

Very pleasant stay - the smaller the cabins are, the bigger are the breakfasts :-) Good location close to the centre also.

The boat was wonderful, but the owners is what really made it.. Super friendly Lucas and Rita made us feel right at home, though the spaces are a lil cramped.. A lil organization goes a long way. I've been to Amsterdam before, but the boat made it extra special.. Thank you .. Hope to come stay again soon

This place was great! I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Our room was small, but that's expected on a houseboat. The atmosphere of the place was so cool that we didn't even mind. Also the owner, Lucas, was awesome, certainly one of the nicest people I've ever met. Breakfast time was one of my favorite parts of our trip, because Lucas was so helpful and it was enjoyable to hear his stories. Would definitely stay here again.

We couldn't have stayed more pleased from our stay at Passenger ship Maria Alberta!Everything was fantastic! The location was excellent, the ship was beautiful, clean, warm and cozy. The owners were friendly and helped us out with our sightseeing. Our Captain, Lucas, was one of a kind. Not only did he share some of his adventures with us but every morning he cooked the best (by far) breakfast i have ever had while travelling...better than a 5 star hotel breakfast!i d stay there again and again!

We had a great stay, and would love to stay here if we ever return to Amsterdam! Very very hospitable, and so so so helpful when the airline forgot our luggage!! Wonderful breakfast and conversation. Very centralized location as well. Probably the coolest place I have stayed in so far. Waking up to breakfast and coffee was one of the best parts of the stay. Seriously... stay here.

Captain Lucas was very friendly, & gave us lots of advice about where to visit /eat at in amsterdam. Bfast was served promptly at 9am on the 2 days I was there- Lucas' wife cooked one of the best breakfasts! Suggest that u don't make plans before 10am or u'll miss out on the food! I told Lucas that I had to leave before 9am the following morning & I was surprised to see Lucas' wife up at 8.30am with a separate take away sandwich sweetly prepared for my friend & I! Would definitely go back again!

We stayed at this boat for 3 nights and we loved it! We stayed in the double room, really comfortable bed, warm and everything is big enough to enjoy your stay ( and my partner is 6ft 2) Great location, close to the centre but at the same time really quiet area and relaxed :) And the best of the best, breakfast :) Home made breakfast and enough to keep u moving till late :) The main difference here is that you are treated as a person and not just a costumer. :) Worth it every penny :)

A very good accomodation, the captain Lucas was very kind and funny: he gave us advices about places and attraction to visit. Moreover, the breakfast he used to prepare us was tasty and abundant. The ship's refrigerator is endowed with beers you can take and drink, and.. you know.. it's not a bad thing. Living in the ship is just like living in an house: well.. a very small house indeed.. but you have only to organize youself and your bags in relation to the narrow spaces and all will be fine..
