The staff is absolutly amazing, very helpfull and cheerfull. The conditions are not the best, it's an old building with poor sound insulation... The pictures on the site do not really match reality. But all in all the place is clean and neatly taken care off. Also not to far from the center, with a good common room, laundry, and all you might need.

The kitchen is very tiny, and so were the bathroom. Not really free tea and coffee ...

The property didn't look as in the pictures, it seems they were taken long time ago, when everything was newer and more decorated. Everything was clean and there are nothing specially bad, but it is disappointed to get there and see the poor common areas, the super tiny kitchen and the bathrooms. There's practically no place to talk to people or even to cook. No hairdryer, no free tea and coffee as said in the page. The bedrooms were super basic, everything was old and no really comfortable.

Excellent location and wonderful hostel! The night receptionist was so much fun and nice, she even spoke Spanish! :) She was always very helpful and kind. Next time I will not hesitate and definitely stay in Patio again!

Clean and tidy hostel. Welcome drink on arrival. Laundry free but washing powder costs €1.50. No atmosphere at all and staff made no effort to get anyone talking. Good place for a sleep and shower but that's about it...

Loved our stay here! Alex was completely helpful whenever we asked her any questions from putting my friend and I in the same room, printing out the bus schedule from Bratislava to Vienna, and telling us how to get anywhere she was amazing. Showers were warm, everything clean. And for what you pay you get a welcome drink, free use of a washer and dryer and every hall has their own little common area with a fridge aside from the big kitchen area. Couldn't recommend this hostel more!

I really can't say enough good things about this hostel. The value of what you get for what you pay is incredible (towels included, free beer checking in, lots of readily available information, no locks needed for lockers, free laundry, etc). Alex at the front desk is insanely helpful and moved my friend and I into the same room and gave us detailed instructions for how to get around. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back myself. Thank you for a great stay!!

Close to the bus station and the historical town . Loved the kichenette facility , cleanliness was ok, washrooms could be more clean. Staff was nice and polite. Free laundry service was awesome!! Check out at 10 was too early in this winter ;) Tesco & Lidl very near.

Not a great atmosphere. Bar was closed while I was there, everyone in the common room was watching movies on personal devices (probably contributed to the poor wifi). Was woken up twice by people coming back from a night out screaming and shouting.

1) Security: you need to bring your own lockers, could be better.. 2) location: 15 minutes walking from the center good 3)Staff: didn't tell us much about the city , what to visit, where to party etc.. average 4) athmosphere ok.. 5) cleanliness: very clean, toilette and shower always perfect 6) good value for money 7) wifi: really bad, is extremely slow from either the living room or your private room...need to be fixed or improved

Patio Hostel feels pretty institutional and isn't well set up for meeting people. There are a bunch of separate small kitchens. The common room is too small to accommodate many guests. Several bathrooms and several bunks in my dorm had been tagged (with graffiti) - which seemed like something management should have cleaned up. People were quite noisy well past the 10 pm "quiet hour" and staff didn't seem to do anything about it. All that said ... I got an okay night's sleep and didn't hate it.

We got a clean, big and very nice room. Location of the hostel is only 5 minutes walk from the old city center. The value for money is excellent!

The directions from the Bus Station provided on the Hostel World website are lacking. The directions provided by the hostel are great.

Great hostel - could be tricky to find but great directions included when booking. Staff were helpful with advice on booking my onwards trip. Bratislava was beautiful and the hostel is a five minute walk from old town.

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Location is good and there is a nice parking space in the yard for 10 Euros per day which is nice to park your car in the city center. Unfortunately there were some problems with the electricity but we got 50% discount. In general I can recommend the hostel and they offer a good service for your money!

The hostel is very well-located. The Internet does not work in the rooms, only in the common area. P

Location is perfect. Within walking distance to the city centre and the bus station. 2 big supermarket 3 min away. No bunk beds on a 4 bed dorm. Only complaint is the kitchen. It's very small and there's nowhere to eat apart from a small table that could only 2 people ! Some utensils needs to be added too. The room is clean same as with the bathroom. Free towel, shampoo and small soap bar!
