I booked a twin private room. When I got there, they provided a double room and told me there is no twin private room and maybe it was an incorrect information in Hostelworld.com. Once there was an an auxiliar bed, I decided to stay. But the room is a dark basement, not a regular room. The walls were moist: full of mold and humidity. Bed linen stinks. It's an unhealthy place to sleep. After two hours I decided to leave the place: staying overnight would give me an allergic attack.

The hostel is really nice and well located, very close the one of the most party street of São Paulo. But staff could be more funny.

I got really upset as soon as I got to the hostel, the pictures on the internet seemed a bit diferent than it really was. The shared rooms were small, there was only ONE bathroom for the whole floor Is impossible to sleep because of the loud sound that comes from the last floor when people party, there's music and people talking so loud and it goes along the night til 3am The guy that works at night was non sense, he started playing the guitar at 6 am woke us up and he was completly high in drug

I spent two nights at the Paulicea Hostel while I was in SP for work. The hostel has character and is very nicely decoraded. Sadly my first night, some guests were playing loud music not too far from the rooms (terrace I guess) and so it was difficult to sleep. The second night was even harder cause there was a big party in the hostel. I didn´t know it was a "party" hostel, if not would have chosen another one. Also wifi doesn´t work in 2 and 3 floor, so 2/3 off the hostel.

Nice hostel, centrally located near Av. Paulista and R. Augusta with very friendly and helpful staff! Space is a bit tight and breakfast basic but good. Atmosphere in the hostel is very friendly but still quiet enough to get some sleep during the night. Good place!

The hostel was okay but could be so much better. There are no fans or airconditioning in the rooms so it's way too hot inside. The 'breakfast' was the worst I have ever had in any hostel. Only a few slices of bread, jam and some apples were available. The location is nice and the staff is helpful though, so the hostel does have potential. Still I wouldn't come back here.

Nice, new hostel in a great area, close to the big streets and bars. Rooms looked good, the private bathrooms might be bigger than the one you have at home. Kitchen was nice as well. Good hostel, only lacks a good common area.Doesnt feel like a hostel though, because of the layout.

Nice backpacker hostel where there s bar for people to meet and chat. could be a bit noisy in the night but never a problem to me. staff is helpful but only one at the rection could cost you some waiting. the only fall back is the location which isn't close to anything. But the negbourdhod s great.

We stayed in the private room that is located in the back of the building and close to the library and the bar (yes, there is a bar in the hostel); hostel tenants were very noisy in the common areas even after 10PM, I am comparing the noise level to other hostels I stayed in Rio.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location, close to Avenida Paulista and the old centre of Sao Paulo is great. I was lucky since there was no other guest in the two-bed room where I slept. But the location of this room at the top floor of the hostel is a mixed blessing: during the day you have a nice little terrace with plants and flowers at your disposal, but during the night smokers may disturb your rest, since the terrace is also the smokers' refuge.

The hostel is neat, clean and in a good area. Close to the most popular (although not the nicest) gay and straight bars in SP. The hostel was fairly empty, so there wasn't much of a social vibe. The staff did nothing to promote that either, It was also very hot and there were no fans in the rooms (some without windows), so it was pretty stuffy. My room didn't even have a window, so that made it even worse. THe hostel should invest in a few small fans for the rooms.

Beautiful home, immaculate and quite spacious. It was a quiet atmosphere, not a party scene (which I like).
