You get what you pay for here! The hostel was in a great location (walking distance to San Telmo/subte). Female staff were shrill, immature and unfriendly. Atmosphere: grunge/rock scene. Rooms: dingy/dark/damp. Staff often get mixed up with hostel bookings and you are made to move rooms. LOTS OF THEFT IN THIS HOSTEL!! Computers, wallets, headphones, shoes of other backpackers got stolen in 5 days I was there - and the staff didnt care, reaction was 'well you should look after your belongings' :/

You get what you pay for. Was not the worst but far from the best. When I was there people were getting their stuff stolen (most likely from other backpackers) so keep your stuff locked up! Some of the staff is a bit rude but the main manager is really nice. It could be a little bit cleaner.

very cheap, you get what you pay...

The girls who was working there was awesome! Guys you need to step up! I also liked the bar they have in the basement, good prices. Unfortunately it's like a smoking room, and for a non smoking guy like me it's bad!

It's a cheap hostel and you get what you pay for! Sadly is it located in a quite unsafe area. We've been robbed just 50m away from the hostel!

If you like people, partying and beer-pong this is the place to be! Staff is great and helpful and always comes up with different actvities for everyone to enjoy together. Very social hostel, great atmosphere and the Dulche De Leche is to die for! Its not the cleanest, the bathrooms takes some time to get use to, no internet in the rooms and its allowed to smoke in the bar, even during breakfast! There was also a problem with bedbugs during my stay there but i've heard they fixed it. Recommend!

the personal is not very friendly. the toiletts are almost without paper and dirty or out of service. the mattresses are vrey bad. We had a reservation for few days, but after one night we left the place!

Nice hostel considering the low price. Good atmosphere. However showers are a problem.

I loved my stay in the hostel. The Pax really makes you feel at home, perfect.

We got a big room for a good price, and the staff is always ready to help. It would have be a perfect stay for our LAST night in Argentina, BUUUT!!! When we left the next morning for the airport, we found that SOMEONE STOLE THE CHOCOLATE THAT WE PUT IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!! IT WAS THE PRESENT THAT WE BOUGHT FOR OUR FRIENDS. IT SEEMED THAT SOMEONE SHAMELESS JUST OPENED THE PLASTIC BAG WITH OUR NAMES ON IT, ATE HALF OF THE CHOCOLATE OF THE BIGGEST BOX AND TOOK AWAY ANOTHER SMALLER BUT FINER BOX!!!!!

If u stay there for 1 night or two it's ok, the staff is nice, the beds are ok, just the bathrooms weren't very clean and there was no warm water..

The hostel was really dirty. I had a lot of animals in my bed and now i have a lot of bites. The breakfast was really bad, because the bread was old.

As far as we know you never complained about any bite during your stay, from you or your 3 friends. The last 2 weeks were really hard for the hostel, too many blackouts in BA and, as you can imagine, not easy to clean without light. Also for that reason there was no problem that you checked out 3 hours late. Safe travels.

You get much more than you pay for in PAX hostel. The staff is awesome, really friendly people, that you can become friends with. In the bar theres always happening something, especially a lot of beer pong :) The rooms are ok, you have lockers and air conditioning. In the end I stayed two weeks, and i would totally recommend this hostel.

Another great stay at Pax, this was my third time in 3 years and luckily things never change. The staff are brilliant, it offers great value for money. Situated a block from the subway, you can easily get anywhere in BA.

The hostel was at a fine location in the city. Stayed in a double room with private bath. The room dusty, the floor dirty and the madras was filthy. The window did not have a curtain. The bathroom was okay but the water hard to adjust and the taps falling out of the wall. Wifi only worked in the reception. Breakfast was lumps of white flûtes bread with something liking jam to put on. Hardly eatable. Overall it is a cheap stay and a reminder that you only get what you pay for.

It was a cheap hostel so you get what you pay for. Even though it says there is a kitchen there is not, out of order forever. This part of town loses power a lot in the summer which means no wifi , a/c, electric and lights :S one night in the middle of a shower the water ran out. If I stayed again it'd be cause it was cheap, nothing else

Certainly cheap, hence not the Hyatt. I can recommend this place if you are a backpacker on a small budget who wants to meet other travellers, but don't expect any luxury or a big buffet breakfast.

I will start by saying the staff is fantastic. They go above and beyond to make this a really fun place. The facilities at this place are very old and most things are broken. The beds are pretty comfortable and the water is hot. The wifi is horrible, drops in and out all the time. The bathrooms are pretty ugly and broken, they may be clean but it's hard to tell because they are so old. If you're looking for somewhere cheap and pretty fun then this place could be OK but don't expect much else.

Pax is really a nice place to stay when in B.A. It's on a good location, helpful staff, kept clean.. Atmosphere is good and they have activities everyday. Recommand it to everyone.

Decent place for the amount of money you pay. You have to pass through a room to get to another though, which was kind of annoying. a lot of spanish speaking people. Pizza night was really fun. Really good pizza!
