My private room was on the street and was so noisy I left after 2 nights, forfeiting 2 nights deposit to move on. (I booked 4 nights on the unfortunate recommendation of South American Explorers Club. ) The hostel would not refund any money even tho I pleaded at 3am and than again at 4am that I could not sleep. I had ear plugs, too! But people were walking and talking very loudly right outside my window all night. It felt like I was literally on the sidewalk! I'll never forget it!

AWESOME faculty! One of the best I have seen at a hostel, very accommodating to your needs. Location wasn\'t amazing but very easy to get to many locations, walking distance of a lot.

Definitely the best hostel we have ever stayed in! The staff are so helpful they pretty much planned the rest of our trip for us! The hostel is very clean, modern, great facilities, easy location, friendly & has a completely safe vibe. Couldn't recommend it any higher, we even went back to Buenos Aires to re-organise and had to stay at Pax, felt like the closest thing you could get to 'home'..

BRILLIANT hostel! Staff are FANTASTIC!. Very friendly & super helpful. Nothing was too much of a problem.Great location, near the metro & a short walk to the Sunday market. Breakfast was v.good, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs & bread. The hostel bar had a good atmosphere & there were organised nights with cheap drink & food.Liked that the bottom bunks had curtains for privacy.Forget the 'Millhouses' stay here you won't regret it! I miss the place a lot & especially the people that work here.

Great rooms, really liked how the dorms were partitioned and the use of curtains on the lower bunks. Good showers & toilet facilities. The hostel felt clean & safe. The staff were really helpful & there were a good selection of activities on offer every day. Only negative is the basement bar downstairs which is a smoking bar. For those that don't smoke, it can get pretty unbearable towards the end of the evening and we found that the dorms on the ground floor also started to smell of smoke.

Really quite excellent. There is a bar in the basement that in a smoking zone though, and the vented windows go directly onto the street. I reckon the fumes in there are pretty bad for overall health but is fine for a few days!

Staff were great, but this hostel is a cave. No windows anywhere. Felt like a prison. Just a small roof top patio. And the girls in the female four person dorm had to walk through the mixed dorm to get to their room.

These guys rocked. If you need help planning your trip, figuring your way around buenos aires, or deciding what to do, this is the place for you. Seriously, any thing I needed they hooked me up with. I was even crashing their couch before leaving for a flight at 3 am and the person at the desk offered to make sure I was up. I never felt like they were impatient with my questions and they were always generously friendly. Thanks guys! They don\'t have the biggest and best common areas but they do have free

The hostel is great !!! after that was said, here is the list of problems: 1.It is possible to smoke in the basement, so when people smoke, its stinks and also bad for your health 2.one cannot cook in the kitchen, its very small, and doesn\'t have a stove, just an electric one. lucky enough, there is a good value place you can buy your food from - Bosio, good and relatively cheap.

I've been backpacking for about 5 years now and I have stayed at many a hostel. PAX is one of those diamonds in the rough that every experienced backpacker has encountered occasionally. Clean, relaxed atmosphere with great city location. Lets be honest, any true backpacker will tell you that the hostel staff makes the difference. The staff at PAX are awesome. Super chyll, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful people who are travelers themselves. Couldnt ask for a better stay in BA, GRACIAS PAX!

PAX is an all around GREAT Hostel! First and foremost the staff is always helpful and ready to give you the best advice on what tours or activities you might be interested in. Overall, great vibe throughout the hostel. Fun and cozy common room makes for a wonderful location to meet other travelers and share information on future destinations. Ideal central location with very easy access to public transportation to get you to all 4 corners of Buenos Aires if needed. This hostel is a GEM!

I felt comfortable at the hostel, always helped by staff. The breakfast included more than your usual hostel, and the fresh orange juice was delicious. The staff was definitely a strongpoint of the hostel.

I have no idea where to start with this place-incredible hostel, great location. Mega friendly and fun staff. I will be going back for sure. A special commendation must go out to Barry-constantly on hand to ensure that everyone had a good time, always on call to sort out any 'events'-a trip in Barry's van is a must for the modern traveller. If you stay here I'd recommend getting to know him as he went the extra mile and our trip wouldn't have been the same without this incredible human being.
