I was there during songkran and the owners made sure that we had plenty of fun. Cleanliness and comfort were both in high supply but that is what made the difference for me.

I can't fault this hostel at all. I stayed here during Songkran festival and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is right on the heart of the tourist enclave of Chiang Mai and five minutes from thapae gate. The staff were so hospitable and really make you feel welcome. The dorm and shared toilets are clean and some of the best I've seen during my travels. If your headed to Chiang Mai, I emplore you to stay here. You won't be making a mistake.

We stayed for about a week at Peaceful Guesthouse and had a really nice time. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and a lot of fun during the Songkran festival! It's a small hostel which I liked, and it's in a great location - walking distance to all 3 night markets. Would stay here again.

I had a nice stay at Peaceful but they sold me a bus ticket to BKK for 400B, one of the staff told me that people get robbed at this bus but I thought maybe only big bags or something (everything in there is replaceable) so I kept my small bag with money close to me. They actually gassed us and took all of our money. I can't believe that the staff sells these kind of tickets to their customers, they KNOW it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hardest beds in South East Asia, and if you have a room at the front, good luck sleeping through the motorbike noise!
