We booked a Twin room but when we arrived we were told that we could get a double room so we agreed. Obviously the nicer rooms where upstairs but we were led in the cellar and had to walk through a construction area to find us in a very small room that was not even on the emergency map and nobody knew where it really was.so we asked to get our twin room back that we booked. However they just gave us another double room also in the cellar but a little bit closer to the stairs.
The rooms were a decent size. I stayed in a room with two twin beds. The staff at the front desk were very helpful, and welcoming. The location isn't the best, but a train station was really close so getting into city center of London was easy.

This was an interesting place. The rooms have obviously been rather recently renovated but the style is like that of 1990s futuristic. The bed was clean, comfortable and bug free; the shower was quite hot; and the room was quiet. The location is pretty bad, unless you happen to want to be in Peckham. For my first time in London, this was a mistake. The Underground doesn't go anywhere near here but there is a bus that will take you to within a block or so. It takes an hour from London downtown
My towel was taken by mistake by cleaning staff and electricity fail in the last night and it was obvious the lack of capability to resolve situations like this.
