The hotel is pretty decent and there are security cameras, which is good. However, the dogs in the hotel are too comfortable, perhaps even more than the guests. During our stay, dogs got into the pool to cool off and they were allowed in the dining area while guests were eating. Also, there wre roudy guests late into the dawn, despite the fact that there are several signs posted asking guests to be quiet after 8pm.

The location is not the best but it's not far from the action (5min walking), rooms are small but confortable, the bar, pool, staff and ambience is great. I had lots of fun in the island and the hostel was a big part of it.

Pedro's hostel is one of the best I've stayed at. The hostel part is basic, but really all you're going to need. The atmosphere is great, and so conducive to getting to know fellow travelers. You might find yourself having to make yourself leave Pedro's; with pool and bar, you can easily end up spending your whole vacation right there. Peter (the owner) and all the other staff are phenomenal. Thanks for the great stay!

The hostel rooms are bare bones and there is no hot water. But the bar was great, pool was great, staff was great, and the pizza was amazing! You can't beat the price, especially in San Pedro. Location is a little out of the way but not a long walk to town. The staff is very helpful and will assist you in any excursions you want to do. They also had optional dinners and lunches everyday that you could sign up for... Lobster while I was there :) They also use a tab system that makes life easy!

Pedro's Inn is a great place to stay on the island if you don't plan to spend too much time in the room. It's the bare basics, but is secure and the staff is fantastic with planning everything you need and helping out with everything. There is so much to see on the beach that you shouldn't be in the room anyways! Everyone was great and the pizza was FANTASTIC! Just sneak off to one of the fancier resorts on the beach to lounge and save some money with Pedro!

As some guidebooks claim, it may not be a charmer, but Pedro's Inn offers the very best value in San Pedro. In that price range, you'll never get anything like it. I was on the hostel side of the property, which is kind of rough around the edges and very basic. But it nevertheless gives you access to the pool and the other amenities. Cindy and the rest of the staff were super nice and friendly. But the owner, Peter, can be kind of a douche. . . Beware. . .
