Not really sure why has this hostel rating above 9. There was no wifi in the rooms, lack of proper isolation resulted in heater and aircon running all the night. Lockers there damaged. Staff did not understand English..

It is exactly a lovely place to live for young people , however i found frequently there are some people come to distrub others and those who don't respect other people's place or area(making lots of big noises in the room and talking loudly at midnight , making the very clean toilet quite dirty ....) i also found that some of the clients there maybe they don't know how to keep the environment clean when they finish eating or drinking , leaving lots of rubbish or beer bottles on the public table

The hostel is well-located and the atmosphere is great with the very friendly and the quirky interior design. As regards value for money, a double deluxe room is too expensive. The bed was ok but the room was small with no places to hang your clothes or place your suitcase or backpack. Further, there was no soap in the bathroom, and the bedlinen was not even changed once during the week we spent at the hostel. Also, there were no places to cook your own food as you would expect at a hostel.

I stayed here for a brief respite while recovering from a cold. The hostel suited that purpose perfectly well, with its common area being a quiet covered courtyard and its location on a sleepy backroad. The staff did their best to accommodate me, and for that, I was very grateful.

We stayed at Peking Yard for 5 nights. It was a nice break from frenetic Beijing as the common area is really calm and quiet. The staff speak fairly good English and were always willing to try and help. We had a double room with an ensuite, it was a bit on the small side but clean and fairly modern. The roof terrace is also nice. Unfortunately there are no kitchen facilities, only a fridge you can store things in. Also the wifi is slow and only in the common room.

Thank you for your stay, we are try to make our guest come to the lobby, so we didn't provide wifi in the room. And thanks for you advise, we will add one more wifi.

Beautiful and friendly Hostel in brilliant and atmospheric location

The location is nice with clear direction on the website. The 6 girl's dorm is NOT in the main building(Si he yuan) but opposite side of the hutong. It will be great to have more toilets or shower rooms to avoid too much crowded in rush hours. The dorm room had certain smell when I checked in the early afternoon. The public area is very nice and comfortable. Breakfast is nice but a bit pricey.

Common area is nice, location is good, close to metro and in the hutongs. 6 bed dorm should be a 4 bed though , it's too small of a room. Beds were clean but bathroom and the room in general could be kept cleaner.

A good hostel with a nice atmosphere and well located - the dorms are only just big enough for the beds so there is very little space for bags etc. also other people commented that the soft drinks and beer were expensive compared to other hostels in Beijing.

The awesomeness of this hostel is only overshadowed by its horrible, unpredictable and and times virtually non-existent WiFi which is only offered in the lobby (which is a very, very nice place to be in otherwise). Fix. It. There is a very nice atmosphere and very disciplined staff, of which their English is well enough. The rooms are kept very clean. Room prices are a bit higher than usual, but the care given to the hostel explains. The food and drinks are sadly overpriced

• Dirty • Massively over priced • Substandard • Rude staff • I've seen better prison cells We were supposed to stay 4 nights and only stayed the one. Wouldn't have stayed at all if it wasn't for our arrival time of 11pm If the hostel wishes to contact me I will gladly explain my comments further.

The surroundings of the hostel was very good and clean though the street outside was smelly as public toilets are at the corner. All young staffs were energetic except a wired old man. He asked all people to leave the common area after 1 A.M.. It was an annoying rule as there was the ONLY place can receive wifi. And I would suggest they setup a wifi with VPN so the travelers can reach facebook and google and other websites which Chinese government blocked.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are amazing and so helpful - really went out of their way to ensure navigating Beijing was easy. They were also helpful when asking about places to eat and other cool things to do and see in the city. The atmosphere was super chilled and not too social. People seemed to stick to themselves and not really want to do any "group things".
