The shared room is small and simple, but very good for bagpackers. The common room in extremely homy to relax after a day of visit.

I liked the place...but they charged me for 2 people even though I was alone in a double room. That means the solo traveler either goes in the dorm or pays for 2 people which is over $70US a night-no bargin and they were not full! So that price without a breakfast is not a good deal. DK. The crew at the hostel was great! When we got there, they made a mistake and booked the wrong room for us and they did not have the room we requested. They were not going to have the room we booked until 2 days later so we stayed in the room they incorrectly booked us. Still they managed to turn this minor inconvenience into a good one. They offered us some small rewards for the inconvenience. The Hostel itself is very full of life, very clean, and the people at the front desk are super nice!

Peking yard has a nice atmosphere, and more importantly great showers and clean toilets. The staff was helpful, though English was somewhat limited. The lobby is spacious and comfortable with good wifi, no wifi in the room though. The location is a little slow, but the subway and some big attractions are nearby. My only complaint is that there isnt a good selection of food nearby. But they serve a great breakfast!

Not one negitive comment to make. Hotel quality and comfort combined with hostel character and support. So homely and cozy as well as being on the doorstep of hutong life and the metro to all the sights. Their car service was fantastic too- we got them to and from the airport and then to the great wall. For personalised pick up and drop off and a comfy and quick ride to mutianyu it was only 600 kuai for the day. Much better than a tour. STAY HERE!!!!!

I've stayed at Peking Yard Hostel twice in two years and I plan to return whenever I'm in Beijing. The hostel is beautiful and the staff beyond helpful. They must have a resident florist because the place is covered with incredible arrangements. Everyone there is super sweet. The rooms are clean and air-conditioned. The travelers you meet there are also a very nice and lay-back crowd. One of the best things about the hostel is the proximity to the subway. That saved us lots!

A charming, beautiful and quiet place. Very close to a metro stop, and to good restaurants, but feels completely out-of-the way. The private rooms were exactly like hotel rooms (without the soap and shampoo samples). The staff could not have been more helpful. HIGHLY recommended.

This is a lovely place to stay, with clean rooms that look great. The common area is very nicely decorated as well and there's a lovely rooftop terrace. The hostel is located close to a subway station, which is convenient. Only downside: prices for trips like to the Great Wall (Y 280) and the Kongfu Show (Y 210) are a bit steep, and coffee is expensive (20 - 30 Y a cup).

It is a verry nice and clean palce with a verry nice atmosphere.. I just think the price for a double room is to high - it is almost like a hotelprice. The rooms are verry clean and modern but for that price just to small. The lounge area is awsome and the terrace on the roof too. In the room you can hear your neighbours to much. Well if the price would be more moderate those would be things who do not matter but like this price it should be perfect.

It is the best hostel that we have ever been to. The location is excellent, next to the subway, it is very clean and provided with everything you need and the staff is so friendly, helpful and very professional at the same time. The atmosphere in the lobby is great and you can have an enjoyable rest there.

fairly good hostel, very beautiful layout with courtyards, a nice common rooms, books, fish, flowers everywhere and loads of natural light. Very helpful staff who booked me my train tickets, but some of the girls are very cold and barely smile. I like the cosy little restaurant inside and the location right in the city centre and so close to a subway station is convenient. A very good stay in spite of the pouring rain.

Cool place to stay, very clean, friendly staff and the location also pretty good next to subway and plenty of local cheap places to eat., it could have a better guest kitchen, and it can be really hard to meet other people. Still Highly recommend .
