very near to subway station line 5, Zhangzhizhong Lu station. only 1 station to Ghost Street (Gui Jie). We've told by Xiao Yuan there is a nice restaurant : Mr. Hua restaurant. Peking Duck there is very nice. the other food is also very good with reasonable price. Very recommended hostel.

Nice place! Wish there was a place to eat and prepare your own food as most of the food is western food.

A delightful hostel set in an indoor garden carefully tended by the staff. The rooms have been recently refurbished, have soft mattresses (!), and spacious attractive bathrooms. Free internet and breakfast included (unfortunately although well cooked was rarely warm). Staff were very helpful and knowledgable.

This is the best hostel I ever stayed in. The bed was really comfortable, the staff was super friendly, very helpful and spoke very good English. The common room was great to hang out and meet lots of new people. If I ever go back to Beijing, I will stay in this Hostel again.

The location is perfect for sightseeing and the ambiance is great. My only problem is with the location of bathroom (if you don't get a private bathroom). It is awkwardly located in the back so you have to walk through the yard to get to it which is not pleasant when it is freezing outside. Also if your room is not located close enough to the reception and lounge area, you will not get wifi. So you will have to come to the lounge (which is super cute n cozy) for wifi and it is very slow.

Peking Yard was our first hostel on our trip of China. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they assisted us getting to our next destination and with organising trips, e.g. The great wall. The room we booked was very small though, but we were supplied with a radiator as it was winter! The common room is really nice with a great menu for food too!

This was an amazing hostel. All the staff were super friendly and spoke English. It was really close to a subway station which could take you to just about any landmark in Beijing. The hostel also organised different tours and events for people on request. I went to the acrobatics through the hostel and they organised transportation, tickets and everything for us. They make western food too for the times when we were missing home. Towels changed daily, sheets changed weekly it was really clean.

Good atmosphere but the location is far enough from the main street. The room and bathroom is clean. Reccomended for bacpacker travellers not family group.

This is a very quiet hostel. This may be because it's low season, but don't go there if you're looking to party. The main area is lovely and cosy, but travellers just weren't chatting to one another. Staff were very kind, and generally helpful when asked questions, otherwise you don't hear a peep from them. Twin room was clean, but very tiny. Bathrooms clean but pretty stinky; no ventilation. Dorm rooms looked a comfortable size. Extra heaters were great. We were never cold in our room.

I loved the comfortable lounge and great bathrooms with hot showers (unfortunately the shower itself tended to flood a bit). It was cold, but so is everywhere in Beijing in January! Not as much traveller camaraderie as other hostels, but the location was convenient to the subway.

Staff was very friendly. Clean. Good location. Nice lobby. Storage and security box options were great. The building owner should reconsider some of their cost saving policies. Wireless was realistically only available in the lobby and not very fast. Staff should give free tourist suggestions as well as support their own options. I got sick from Beijing smog, and asked for changed sheets. Was told, "Policy is that we only change sheets every 3-4 days." I improved after they were changed.

This is true. It is the most beautiful hostel I have ever seen in my life. Even if outside is cold the atmosphere of the hostel keeps you warm. It's a pleasure to stay in this hostel, stuff is helpful, location is good, the only thing is the prices for food are a bit too expensive. The first thing you think coming here ' welcome back home'.

Where to start? Everything was beyond amazing. The hostel is very beautiful, clean, and located in an amazing, central area. The staff were beyond helpful (even booked a reservation to the best Peking Duck in Beijing). We stayed in a dorm and a double and each were clean and great for the price we paid. Walk a block in any direction and there are street vendors, stores, and sights galore. Metro is 200m away which makes transport to/from a breeze. Will recommend to anyone traveling to Beijing

Great hostel in Beijing with alot of character in a renovated Hutong house. Very good location within walking distance to Forbidden City, the lakes, Lama Temple. 200m from metro station. Nice double private room. Good heating. Would not recommend the acrobatic show booked through the hostel : was 260 RMB per pers incl transport. Transport : took us 1H30 to go and 1h to come back, it was a shuttel with others that w went to other theatres. The show itself was very disapointing

A lovely, quirky reception area & communal lounge. Although rooms were compact they were clean and functional; we had a double room with en-suite, towels provided & changed daily. The reception staff spoke good English and were friendly & helpful and we would go again. The staff were very helpful in booking rail tickets on our behalf and very supportive & accommodating when our next hostel let us down without notice.
