Got 20 very nasty bites from only what I can assume… the room was so dirty, smelling and unclean. Stretchy neighborhood, if you stay here, just make sure you do NOT have to step foot outside for nothing. I can\'t understand how I\'ve read other people rave about this house.. It is NOTHING at all like the great reviews.

This is the first time for me to stay in a hostel. I feel very satisfied and enjoyed my staying there. It is clean, quiet, save, easy to check in and out, and let me feels as if I was at home. The price is good too. Remember to take enough cash with you as you need to pay in cash. The staff is also very nice, I didn't have enough cash when I arrived, he led me to several ATMs and finally got the cash.

Although we were sceptical about the hostel because of the reviews that we had read about it being in a bad location and not very clean, it was very good. The room we stayed in and the bathroom were clean and we didn't have any problems with the location. We had a flight from Toronto Lester B Pearson later that evening and we were allowed to stay in the room till whatever time we wanted which was very handy.

House looks nice and clean. I'm very suprised to hear from the owner that the house itself is over a hundred years old. I didn't see any where looks such old or doesn't functional. Because I was too busy to check the e-mail, I missed the password e-mail from the owner, I couldn't get into the house when arrived. I knocked a neighbour's door and they kindly lend a cell phone for me to call the owner. A staff came soon after the call and took a really good care of me during my stay.

The house is in bad repair and in need of updating and painting. Quite depressing. We stayed 6 nights and we were glad to leave.I contacted the owner 2 weeks prior to arriving for a destination hotel near by where the airport bus drops off and he never replied. To arrive with no detailed instructions was a little daunting to say the least. His arrival details on his sight are not very informative.I received a key code from the owner to let ourselves in. It had been changed they did not inform me.

Stay away!!!!! I thought I was dreaming but the second morning I wake up to had bites all over my body. The bites itch, burn, swell and stay with you for about 2 weeks. In top of this massive hygienic issue, the neighborhood is very unsafe, doggy & it is rife with drug lords.

A bit strange because there is no reception when we got there had to wait a bit for someone. The hostel is very clean and great for the price. Had a private room with a TV and closet on new years for only $60 ($30 each). Would recommend for travellers who don't mind sharing a bathroom. They also had wi fi and a sitting/waiting room so not so bad. The area is a bit sketchy but not as scary as other places in Toronto.

I am 25 and I have been staying in hostels since I was 17 all over the globe and this one was one of the best. Now having said that, I like staying in hostels where it's clean and safe and I can cook dinner if I want to. This place has a great kitchen (with utensils and plates) and one of the best showers I have EVER used. If you want to party your face off, this isn't the place for you. But if you want a kitchen and a fabulous computer and Wifi I would thoroughly recommend it.
