we havent planned to stay longer than 2 days but we've extended twice and in total we had 6 really nice, chilled and easy days at the lodge. as we prefer quiet hostels without parties every night it was the perfect one to choose in peniche for us! thanks a lot claire! t&j

What a wonderful place, thank you so much Claire for being such a great host, we had a trip of a lifetime. Hostel is a handy walk to the town centre, right across the road from a beach, very accessible location for all the beaches around peniche for surfing, walking distance (4mins) to a great snorkelling spot, between 2 supermarkets, great kitchen facilities, beautiful clean rooms, great outdoor board storage and wetsuit hanging space, we loved this place, one of my favourite hostels ever!

The owners of Peniche Surf Lodge are the best. They make you feel like part of their family and ensure your stay is problem free. The Hostel itself is super clean and modern. A great value for the money. Also, the location in Peniche is perfect, close to surf spots, restaurants, market etc. The owners are super knowledgeable about the surrounding surf spots and will always point you to the best waves. Overall i couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely stay here again.

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in. It was basically a beautiful home. Right by the ocean, and a short walk from beaches, waves and the sun. We had a great kitchen, a big room to relax and hang out in, everything was very clean. The hosts are unbelievably helpful and are constantly making sure that you have a great stay. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing, homey feel you can find it here. There is no other place to stay in the Peniche/Baleal area, this is it.

We stayed at the surf lodge initially for two nights, but decided to stay longer because the lodge was so good. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home, including offering to show us the best surf spots The room was gorgeous and the lodge very new and comfortable - it was the best place we stayed in Portugal and the cheapest at the same time. They could easily charge a lot more for this accommodation, we felt like we had been given our own lodge for three days! Highly recommended

Claire, Duncan and Dan are such nice people, I got picked up and dropped off at the bus station, the apartment is super clean with one of the best kitchens in a hostel you will find.
