This hostel advertises itself on hostelworld as having 24hr reception. I turned up there (having booked a room) at 8:45pm to find the reception was closed. A sign said it was open from 9am to 9pm. There was a bell and a number to text, both of which I tried to no avail. Thus I was stranded in Dunedin in the dark with nowhere to sleep and ended up finding a different hostel. Overall my experience was VERY BAD (I would like to recommend Central Backpackers, Dunedin, though).

The hostel didn't have any record of our reservation when we arrived, but luckily they had a room for us. It was good for a basic room for one night.
