A very convenient place to stay to experience old Bangkok. The nearest skytrain station is an hour's walk away, but you're so close to the Grand Palace and a ferry terminal on the river to see all the famous temples and attractions, I'd say the ferry was a much more fun way of getting to and from the city centre! There's also two vegetarian restaurants less than 5 minutes walk away, the location is quiet, peaceful and yet only 10 minutes walk from the famous Kao San road!

Room and the common bathrooms were clean, and I felt pretty safe. Short walk to Khao San Road and other nice shopping/eating areas. Great location for sightseeing. Definitely spring for the a/c, I settled on just a fan and it was way too hot. Rooms are sparse, definitely not luxurious. Good value for the money.

We spent 3 night there with a friend in a private room with 2 beds: the room and the bathroom were clean and there was even air conditioning in it. The hostel itself is quite nice and well located: it is only a few minutes away walking from Khao san road and all the tourist attractions of the old city. There is even a boat hop-on/hop-off very near. I recommend it to everyone wanting to spend a nice stay in BKK.

Lovely setting outside of the West wall of Chiang Mai and on the road to Doi Suthrep. Better alternative to the congested city center during Songkran but imagine it could be a bit too quite normally. Dorms are nice and met great people. Other bungalows are rented by older crowd. Great British pub with authentic English food and older expat patrons who can tell you a lot about the hidden gems of Chiang Mai. Don't go if looking for a party.

Really liked this hostel: nice location and the staff is really nice! The rooms are big, clean and very nice. Internet is fast, it's been a while since I stayed in such a nice hotel! I would definitely go back there again if I come back to Bangkok.

The room and the hotel was really nice. Also the staff was really kind and helpful. The location is perfect, close to khaosan rd but in a quiet street. The only bat note, internet was not in the room but in the common areas.

This place was perfect for what we needed. A nice, big clean room with ac and a comfortable bed, a good shower, and breakfast available. It was close enough to Khaosan road without being noisy, and there were a few good places along the way that we wouldn't have discovered if we stayed right on Khaosan. Not really a great place to meet a lot of people, but we were looking for more of a private place to get away to after busy days in Bangkok, and it was perfect for that.

This hostel was a nice quiet find in busy Bangkok. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Khoa San road, close enough to the business but far enough away to be a quiet, chilled out place. Wouldn't recommend if you want a busy place to make friends as people kept themselves to themselves. Clean facilities, friendly staff.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Penpark Place. It was a great location - only a 10 minute walk to Koh San Road, but there were markets and shops on the walk there. They offered breakfast for a good price every morning and it was very helpful that reception was open 24/7. I liked how the bathroom had an actual shower, so the bathroom floor wasn't constantly wet. We had a big tv, air conditioning, and a window that opened! Penpark made my stay in Bangkok that much more enjoyable!! :)

had clean, quiet, comfortable a/c room on second floor with solid wifi connection. nice terrace on top floor (long walk up stairs but there are lounge chairs/small breeze). city map not very detailed (less detailed than LP map). breakfast mediocre and expensive.

Good hostel for his value.Comfortable twin beds, the shared bathroom is clean, the computers ran faster than in other hostels in Thailand. The only problem is people building a house behind your bedroom at 8 am. Except for that everything ok. Good breakfast, not expensive.

I enjoyed the place, mostly because of the location , its peace and quite, in an old district , but not far from everything ( markets, kao san road). The rooms are very new, everything is in good condition, very modern, comfortable beds, good quality linen, the room was cleaned everyday. The only disturbing thing is mosquitoes, the air con is very strong , if to open windows , there is fresh air coming , but the only minus is that there are no nets on windows.

IMPORTANT!!! ON THE HOSTELWORLD WEBSITE YOU ADVERTISE THIS HOTEL RATE INCL. BREAKFAST. BUT WHEN WE CAME DOWN THE FIRST MORNING THE STAFF TOLD US IT'S NOT INCLUDED. WHEN MY PARTNER WANTED TO SHOW THEM THAT THERE IS A MISINFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE THEY SIMPLY IGNORED HIM! OVERALL THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS HOTEL SHOULD LOOK INTO TRAINING THE STAFF ABOUT COSTUMER SERVICE, IT'S A SHAME AS OVERALL IT WOULD BE A NICE PLACE BUT IT LEAVES A BITTER TASTE TO IT......

+ clean, good place to sleep, possibility of breakfast, laundry service, in a quiet side street, staff helpful and friendly - think big youth hostel, not your friendly cozy welcoming guesthouse, no toilet paper in the morning All in all a good, quiet, if rather anonymous, place to sleep in.

We arrived at the hostel before our agreed arrival time (8am) and had to wait until that time for our room which was fine, but when asking for the room the staff were very rude and said we could not get our room until 12pm. We had been travelling for 20 hrs, they were unsympathetic and we had to make a fuss to get our room at all which was ready in 10 mins. Clearly they could have eased our situation! Room good, bed comfortable, location good to walk to Khao Sam Road but be warned on arrival!!!!

The fan-room was incredible hot. Go for A/C for sure! The bathrooms were not very clean. Sometimes lacked toilet paper.

Good: Good hotel centrally located next to the backpacker area (5 mins off, so you get a good night sleep). Staff friendly, free internet, hot water and bog roll. Bad: Only bad thing was the plague of ants that will eat anything left uncovered for more than an hour off any surface you put it on...

Very bare bones but totally what i wanted. Far enough away from the tourist streets that it felt calm. I woke up to the sounds of chickens and birds every morning and apart from the occasional boat going past it didn't sound like i was in the city at all. The room I had (twin, shared bathroom) was very sparse but very clean. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and have a morning coffee before venturing out this is for you.
