Penpark Place is quiet and a haven after the bustle of Bangkok. It is far from beautiful but functional and provides clean basic rooms with no frills. It would be useful if the shower rooms had another hook or two as it is difficult to find somewhere to put anything without it getting soaked! The young people who seem to run Penpark Place are delightful and try hard to be helpful. Breakfasts are good and inexpensive in a ground floor eating area - a good place to sit and have a drink.
Staff were very friendly, especially the young guy at the reception. the bathrooms were ok and the bedrooms are comfortable. very good location! breakfast is not included, but they have a good menu for a good price. the only problem we had was with the shuttle bus that they arrange to the airport, which was already full and we had to take a cab. but it was a very nice experience in PenPark Place!
There is not enough room to leave a detailed comment. The staff was rude, sold overpriced and overrated tours that were poor to attend and I was rushed through breakfast to get in my shuttle bus to the airport because the driver was 20 minutes early. It is located too far away from the subway system and at least a 10 minute walk to restaurants or the main road to catch cabs but fairly close to major attractions. Spend a little more money and find a nicer place a better staff and facilities.
Decent place to stay for a couple of days. Not far from khaosan road, with variety of bars around. The place is clean and staff very friendly. There are only two disadvantages i see. First is the access to the airport. There is no direct connection with the train, and with the bangkok traffic it takes quite some time to get there. Second is lack of Airco in some of the rooms, therefore wouldn´t recommend it for the summer time, as in the winter its ok with the fan. Generally cheap decent place
Very nice place, the staff is friendly, but the electricity charge is poor, there is only one charge in our room and it is very high for us to reach. Anyway, very nice and clean, not very far from Khao San road.

It is a cheap hostel and you get what you pay for in terms of comfort, security and location. The staff were really friendly towards me and helped with as much as they could. I also had a really big room with a great view of a neighbouring garden.
2nd time at Penpark. It's a no-frills kind of place but in an excellent location - close enough to walk to Khao San easily but far enough to be peaceful at night away from the madness! Friendly and helpful staff - we booked a trip to the Tiger Temple with them which was excellent. We stayed in B35 and would recommend they pop a curtain on the inside of the door as people turning on the hallway light right outside our door woke us a couple of times as it's really bright. Otherwise excellent! x x
Nice place to stay . Close to Khaosan but quiet and clean - single rooms are spacious and Internet for free. Definitely recommend this place in BKK - thanks a lot.
i really liked the hotel for my 1st days in bangkok. good place to get slowly adjusted to thailand. i had a big bright room facing the garden and the river.
