We had a great time in Lisbon and really enjoyed staying in Pensao Royal. The perfect location and the great tips from Paula made it a very nice stay. Of course, the breakfast is great ;-)

Had a great stay in Lisbon, did not realize what a beautiful city it was... and to being staying right in the heart of it... The Pensao Royal has a great location for visiting the city sites. Paula and Juan were great, could have sit and chatted with them all day... they gave us some great advice on what to see and do... Thanks for everything... Wish I could have stayed longer...

Had the best time ever in Pensao Royal. Highly recommended! Great location, handy for everywhere, metro Baixa is just around the corner and two railway stations a short walk away. Rooms are spotless clean and full of character, with your own azulejos on the walls. Breakfast is absolutely sinful, with homemade cakes and fresh fruit salad. But best of all, Paola is there with her answers, recommendations and tips how to smuggle pasteis de nata in your hand luggage. Hope to meet you again!!

Excellent location, amazing breakfasts, and lovely hostess (Paula); she made our stay as happy and comfortable as she could.

Puala did a really good job. She gave very good information which exactly what we need.we stayed there for three nights eveyday had wonderful breakfast..couldn't believe only puala one person did all the job..gonna miss her homemade cake lots..

The breakfast is amazing, the character of the pensao is great. Each room has its own personnality and we had a small room with beautiful azulejos. I loved it! Paola is always here to help you.

Paula made the stay for us really special. I will always have vivid memories of her warmth, outgoing personality and all of her special, lovingly arranged, decorations. I have already told my sister that if she goes to Lisbon she must stay at Pensao Royal.

i had the most wonderful time here. Paula, who runs/owns the place is the most amazing woman...her breakfast was like being in a fairy tale...every morning it was different....the entire dining place was decorated with the most amazing stuff...you to live here to experience it...thanks paula for all the love & warmth you gave us...

Very comfortly place and staff very professional and nice.

It was a good choice to go to the Pensao Royal. It is very central located and the Hostelowner gave us helpful tips for trips, restaurants, shopping etc. We would go there again!!! Nevertheless, we would recommend to put Ohropax. As the hostel is in the middle of the center it is noisy outside and the windows are only single-glazed.

Great location in the centre of lisbon. he bad thing is its up three flights of stairs. The rooms are very nicely decorated. There was a smell of sweat off the owner which wasn't the most pleasant, although with the breakfast she puts on I'd say she's up half the night preparing it. A shower wouldn't go astray though.Superb breakfast its like a feast. You have to leave the key at reception and wait to be let in at night time.

Pensao Royal is a gem in so many ways, but it all starts and ends with Paula. She is so very friendly and helpful. She works very hard to make your stay a memorable one-outstanding breakfast, keeping everything clean, advice on where to eat and where to go. Great location.

The down side was climbing 3 floors with luggage.The best bit was the wonderful breakfasts. Also Paula was always very helpful.

My fiance and I stayed for 4 nights, and would definitely go back. The location is amazing, and Paula was like our personal tour guide. She makes the best breakfast... you will never find a better breakfast in a hostel. Seriously. Thank you for a great stay in Lisbon!!

Pensao Royal is the best place to stay in Lisbon. The rooms are really nice and clean, each with an individual style. The best part of it is definitely Paula. She always has some good tipps where to you, when and how. She makes the most amazing breakfast ever. She makes you feel like you are at home. It was the perfect holiday ever - thank you Paula!

Paola is the perfect host. Extremely helpful with recommendations for eating and visiting. It's a very homely pensao and yes, the breakfast is a sweet treat. She made it a wonderful stay in a great city.

PR is a modest facility in an excellent location... it's comfortable and clean while delivering what's advertised. However, on account of the hospitality, local advice and sincere warmth of the lady that manages it (Paula), PR is an exceptional value and a true gem of a hostel. I'm not just satisfied with staying at PR and the services provided, I actually feel lucky to have found PR and met Paula. PR has a relaxed vibe; other guests were very friendly and respectful. Breakfast was excellent.

Paula..Paula..Paula..Yeah we(especially my wife:) are missing your breakfast,your cakes soooo much. This hostel is a must in Lisbon.Location couldnt be better,staff is world no.1 staff,room was very romantic cuz Paula likes red:) and sooo clean,secure. You got to stay here if you going Lisbon.
