Miguel was the lovliest host and makes everyone feel so welcome :) The location of the hostel is perfect for the beach and for strolling around the old town . We had fresh towels everyday which is a nice touch as well as a beach towel. Would definitely recommend staying here:) Jacqui Ireland

A truly great find ! You feel like you're staying in your grandparents house with all your cousins in for the weekend. Miguel is a very kind man who has opened up a home for travelers. Mucho gracias, Pension Amalur !

An absolutely great stay. Very homey feel. The common area was a fantastic place to meet people. New linen and towel each day was a plus. Only two bathrooms, but it wasn't much of a problem when I stayed. Within walking distance to everything.

the location is awesome, in the city center, near the beach and just 10 min walk away from the bus teminal. there are lots of power plug but not at the upper bunk and hot water is unstable. rest of it are great and the host is very friendly and helpful in providing information.

Cannot recommend this place enough-Miguel is so lovely & welcoming when you arrive, beds are made every day, fresh towels & everything is cleaned daily! Location is great, so close to the beach & 15mins walk to old town. I would definitely stay here again-San Sebastián is an amazing place, made more so by this hostel & its owner!!

Miguel was so very helpful- even though we didn't speak any Spanish and he didn't speak much English, he worked so hard to tell us all about San Sebastián. It was such a nice quiet place to say and in such a perfect area! Loved it!

For what I paid, this hostel was great value since it is so central - 1 min walk from the beach and a 7 min walk to the old town. Everything was kept clean and it was great to have clean towels every day. The host and owner, Miguel, was very friendly and welcoming even though he doesnt speak any English. The only downside was the lack of washing machines (and there being only 1 laundrette in town which charged €10 per wash) but this wasn't a dealbreaker. Overall, highly recommended.
