I call this a Five Star Hostel. I've stayed in many hostels and this is one of the best. Roof top terrace, modern amenities and wonderful staff who will go above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. I am a solo traveler and stayed here 3 days in May. It has a fantastic view from the terrace of the coast of Olhao. Just minutes walking distance to the ferry, tour boats and fresh market. This is a great place to stay and get away from the tourist Lagos and Faro.

The Pension Bicuar made our trip to Olhao, Portugal. It is safe, clean, and in a central location. The owner, Jeff, helped us plan out our 4 days and gave us suggestions on restaurants and near by towns. Our trip was the perfect combination of relaxation and sight-seeing. When we come back, we will stay here again!

German couple, 27 and 29 years old, 2 nights in mid-April.Beautiful, privately run guesthouse located in the old part of Olhao.we enjoyed the wonderful view from the roof terrace, whether for breakfast or a bottle of red wine at sunset! The community toilets have always been clean, the kitchen got every utensils you'll need, there was even a grill on the terrace. But how the hell can Jeff, the charming owner, still remember any names?Parking could be a problem for young drivers... We will come back!

We are still more then surprised about this place. At the beginning we had some trouble finding this place but once we found it everything was cool. Nice stuff (in fact only the guy who runs this place) and for this price almost more we expected. Best thing about this place: Roof deck! We would love to come back one day.

Good morning hostel is amazing, I always find hostels in Portugal are the best, where else would you get free waffles every morning? Super helpful staff that recommended some great day trips I wouldn't have known about other wise. Thanks to you all.

I had a lovely time at Pension Bicuar. Jeff is a welcoming host who does his best to help you. He even insisted that I upgraded to a better room as we could not find the BBC news channel on the TV. While I stayed there, he was always pleased to offer any guidance about places that I was interested in visiting. The guest house is beautifully furnished and has very comfortable beds. There is a kitchen and a lovely terrace on the roof.
