Pension Edelweiss Reviews

Pension Edelweiss was located close enough so that we could easily walk to the old port area with its restaurants and shops. The owner gave us excellent suggestions for restaurants. The continental breakfast at the nearby restaurant was excellent. Main shortcoming was lack of a dresser or set of shelves on which to unpack and place our clothes for the three days. We lived out of our suitcases on the floor for lack of a fold out stand to hold them.

This is a FANTASTIC place to stay! It is not a hostel, but rather, an apartment to rent out for VERY cheap. It is old fashioned with antique furniture and a wonderful, quaint little porch. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is big and the shower is nice, and the staf (David and Bernadette) are EXTREMELY accommodating. We arrived hours later due to logistics problems driving down from Paris and David stayed up until 3:45am to settle us. STAY here, it is very worth it!

We reallly enjoyed our stay in Pension Edelweiss. The housekeeper is very friendly and helpful. Furthermore she gave us a lot of Marseille infos f.e. good restaurants, things to do

very nice and cute place, with a great staff. This hostel is very close to the main railway station, and in the heart of the city (vieux port, cours Julien, métros...), but is very quiet. Breakfast is also very good

This is a gem in Marseille, simply a lovely place to stay. I have booked Edelweis for friends and family many times and will do so in the future because it is the best and friendliest little hotel-pension you can find in town.
