Fantastic for the price especially. Our room had a fridge, and clean towels given every day was such a plus! It's a bit hard to find initially but overall a great place. Keep in mind there is nowhere to socialize, and we were given one double bed for the two of us to share :)

For people arriving for the first time, the door system is confusing and the pension is not clearly marked.
A good place to stay, clean and safe and central situated in a nice neighbourhood (Malasaña). If you want to make friends here, this is not the place to be as there's no common room and you hardly get to know the other guests. But if you just want a clean small place to stay, you are right here.
The pension is on the third floor (fourth floor if you're American) of a building without lift, so that's a problem if you carry heavy luggage. As the name points out, this is a pension, not a hostel, so there's no kitchen or common area (that's fine by me), but the bedrooms have a little fridge, which is nice. The biggest problem is that the rooms get too hot (especially if you have the fridge on) and the little fan on the wall doesn't help much.
Great single room, very clean hostel. Room size EXTREMELY small, but good for a few nights stay otherwise a bit claustrophobic. Such a good location though, walking distance to everything, and the free walking tour they recommend is fantastic. Do not stay here if you're solo travelling and want to make friends though, the atmosphere is QUIET and DEAD. Good for some peace and quiet, or if you're travelling with a partner.
