Wide and comfortable rooms with shower and lavabo inside, excellent location (2 min on foot from central station), awesome staff. Right by the train station, great breakfast, but there were hookers lining our street and lots of very loud people outside all night. Not close to much of anything but the train station. TV in room was nice, but in black & white. When I booked this on the website it said the room was ensuite. This was only partly true. There was a shower and basin in the room itself however the toilet was shared. I stayed in Hamburg for 3 days and this hostel is located 1.5 blocks from the Hamburg central train station (HBF), you can catch a metro train from HBF as well so the city is at your disposal. Some of the staff speak English better then others, but they try and effort counts. The hotel has no lift so make sure you are able to climb a good amount of stairs. When I booked the single room ensuite with private bathroom , I understood that the bathroom was inside the room. There was the shower only. That disappointed me. Very nice hostel with excellent location. Room was spaceful and nice. No toilet inside a room but shower cabin in the corner. Funny :) Location is perfect if you need to catch an early train. If you want to stay somewhere close to the train or bust station for an early morning getaway - this is your place. The ensuite consisted of a shower cubicle in my room. Just plonked there. No toilet (maybe lucky!). The toilet was down the hall. The young guys working there were friendly but the woman was a real grump. The hostel is situated perfectly for exploring the downtown of Hamburg by foot! Breakfast is inclusive as well as bed sheets and towels. The rooms are cleaned every day!
