When it's a full house, and weekend, the single rooms tend to be extremely noisy. Walls are so thin that even at 5m from the shared bathroom, one could hear all activities in the small room. Rooms are located around the central patio, so noise from below echoes through the levels above . Also, the bathroom facilities weren't fit to suit several guests (toilet insufficiently flushing). My tip is to try the second bathroom at the other side of the second floor: more spacious and OK toilet.

This is much more of a private place to stay - individual rooms mean that people don't mix much. If privacy and quiet is what you're after, then this place is perfect. My room was small but clean and had a sink. The bathroom was shared but had a good shower and was well aired. There is a rooftop terrace, but I never found anyone up here and there weren't many places to sit. A lack of kitchen facilities is a real draw back - no kettle, so you can't even make a cup of tea! Nice place overall/

Pensión Las Palomas is in fact not a hostel but a hotel so you get your own room (no en-suite though) at about the same price as a hostel. Really clean. Helpful staff (but not much english) Handy location.
