IT was like a hotel, only the bathroom was not in your room. A little pricey though in the low season

A clean and bright Pension in a very good location in the old town of San Sebastian. Rooms and shared bathrooms were spotless, and the bed made and new sheets provided everyday. Jose was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We had an incident in middle of the night. where out of nowhere the drunk ocuppants of the next room started kicking our door and shouting agressively. Ok, not the hostel's fault. But the people that run the hostel is right downstairs and it was obvious that everything could be heard from there, yet after some 15 or 20 minutes of that we had to actually call them on the phone for them to show. up. Horrible night- next night they changed our rooms to another floor, but no refund was offered.

A really nice hostel in the old part of San Sebastian. Ideally located for visiting the old town and only a short walk from the beach. The rooms were large and comfortable and the hostel was very clean. We were provided with clean towels each morning. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. For the price we paid this was an amazing deal and would definitely go back.

Very clean hostel with very friendly owners who live on site. Very secure (several locked doors), nice beds, laundry-service available, 2 excellent modern bathrooms with showers. Staff was very friendly and helpful, one of them spoke English fluently and was extremely helpful with information about the city. This is definitely one of the better hostels I've stayed in! Street noise is a bit of an issue, but this is true of every Spanish hostel I've stayed in. Great place, great value!!

Everything was excellent, but the location is too close, that was very hard to find a place to leave the car, you have to pay every 5 hours if you leave your car on the street. The hostel is in the middle of old town, is very very clean, every day were a new clean towels! We love it! ;) I recommend You the hostel!

This place was fantastic! perfect part of town. Jose the owner has been running this pension for 19 years.the entire plce is immaculately clean. we asked for a good restaurant to eat at and Jose went out of his way to recommend a local treasure where you wont find many tourists, he even wrote down a suggested menu for us -sensational. We felt very welcomed and really enjoyed our stay - would highly recommend to anyone, and had family stay there before who felt the same.

San Sebastian is a land of many smells - mostly fishy, cheesy ones from the markets outside - and our room at Pension Lionaz seemed in tune with this, picking up the changing aromas of morning, noon and night. Still, we were delighted when the door opened on our clean, blue-walled, twin room, with its crisp white sheets, wi-fi and treasured English language television. There were about 6 sharing the bathroom, so waits were common. I would recommend PL anyway, especially for the price. Charmed.

Really nice place, amazing rooms feels like home. Could do with a lounge area but still amazing. Stay here is you want your own room that is really comfy. Great location in old town. Owner is really friendly and helpful.

It was awesome! I was travelling with my best friend and we arrived to San Sebastian really late at night by train and were unsure how to get to the hostel. I rang the owner Jose and he gave us directions and was waiting up for us to arrive! We decided to stay in San Sebastian a night longer than we had planned and he upgraded us to another room for our final night for the same price we had been paying. Awesome wifi and washing service which is delivered to your door. would stay here anytime!!

It would be good to have a fan in the room as it is hot at night with the shutters closed but too noisy with them open.

The location of Pension Loinaz is excellent, it's within walking distance of all attractions and right in the centre of best pinxo bars in San Sebastian. It's very clean and the owner is always ready to help. The street is very busy though and it's impossible to go to sleep before 1am.

Excellent location ideal for the old town. Quite warm in the room so a fan might help when the weather is really hot. Extremely clean room and very helpful owner.

Great place. Perfect location right in the middle of the old town surrounded by tapas bars. Close to the beach and everything you could need. Very clean and the owners were great. Definitely recommend this pension, especially for couples as it is not a hostel.
