The beaches are approximately a 20 minute walk away, as is the Palace of the Sponge-cake that is one of the most important cultural centers of the U.I.M.P. (International university Menéndez Pelayo)
The Pension A-Madrid is well connected to the main stations. It is less than 200 meters from the main train (FEVE, RENFE), and bus stations. We are also beside one of the municipal stops which takes you to the beaches and much more... //

This place is not a bed and breakfast since there is no breakfast. It's not a hostel and certainly not a hotel. It's an apartment owned by a spanish speakng (only) couple and one rents a room. The rooms look clean but the stench of dust was unbearable. It's fairly quiet but mostly because it's empty. However showers are not permitted after 22:30. And the kitchen was closed half the time as well. There aren't many hostel options in Santander, but this place should be booked only as a last option.
