It was a little difficult to find since it was in this weird back alley, but it was very close to the beach and many touristy sites in the city. It was very nice for the amount of money we spent. I would definitely return.

Great hostel in a perfect location to explore Barcelona! The staff are extremely helpful, even helping us translate between ourselves and a bus company to help us locate our lost luggage!! Bathrooms and showers and cleaned daily and are always spotless. 10/10 would stay again!

Very nice location just a few blocks from La Rambla. The staff was very friendly and the room was very nice. The bathrooms and showers were just down the hall and were kept very clean. Plenty of travel information available in the lobby in addition to a free public computer. A great price for a great place! I'll be sure to recommend Pension Mariluz to anyone I know traveling to Barcelona and I'll be sure to come back if I'm ever back in Barcelona.

The only downside is the three flights of stairs to reach the hotel, but the location is slap bang in the middle of the old gothic quarter making it ideal location wise for getting out and about. Only 5 mins walk from the Liceu Metro station and La Rambla. Reception area has lots of maps and brochures for the surrounding attractions.

Nice, ideally located place. Very clean and quiet. Wifi is free and works good. Of course small as everything in Barcelona, but at least overall in good condition. Only negative point is the lack of 'hostel feeling'. But if the goal is just to have a nice place to stay, it's pretty perfect.

It was all very good. The room was little but comfortly, quiet and clean. We enjoyed the stay at the pension mari luz in barcelona. We will go there also a second time. Bye

We only stayed one night, but it was perfect for our purposes. Everything clean, helpful staff, but not much character. The only real drawback I noted was the 3 flights of stairs leading to the hostel, which we had to climb with our luggage.

Great place to stay if you need a base close to everything. Very friendly staff that keep a tidy place. It seems to cater for everyone. Highly recommended.
