WOnderful clean close to train station and beautiful aare river and botanical gardens hostel. Affordable, kind efficient staff, overall a perfect choice for my stay in Bern. Highly recommended. Marthahaus was an excellent place to stay in Bern. It was affordable, clean, and enjoyable. It is across the river from the old city but only a 12 minute walk. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the cheese was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will stay there again whenever I visit Bern.Marthahaus was an excellent place to stay in Bern. The hotel was well located, just over the River Aare and within walking distance of town. The hotel was also very clean. The customer service was lacking though, and when I arrived I was made to feel as though I had interrupted the woman who served me. She had no interest in explaining anything about Bern or in providing me with a map so that I might find my way around.The hotel was well located, just over the River Aare and within walking distance of town. At night there was loud music from the bar below the hostel but a pair of earplugs did the trick to block out the sound. Otherwise, great and would return again. Definitely very clean.
