Overall, it is a good hostel in an excellent location if you are traveling on budget. The room was ok, but the sink in the room was not 100% clean. Upon arrival there was some trouble with the key, I had to wait 10-15 minutes before finally being told I would be accommodated in another room than originally planned. Although there is a landline telephone, it was not possible to be called at the hostel. The landlord was very friendly.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful place to stay in Alicante. So charming! Clean and secure. A little run-down, but if you are looking for simplicity and a very charming place, this one is perfect. There is a computer with internet, which isn't noted on the hostelworld page. Also, beach mats are available, as well as some other beach equipment, so that's nice.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. There was sand on the bed as we arrived. The walls were dirty, would recommend to paint them again. The wall all over the mirror was 'painted' with a fluorescent sth probably by some guests. it was also on the pillow, so the sheets weren't changed, they were also a little bit stinky. What's more, we had ants in our room. The smallest minus was that the wifi didn't work in our room. Our stay there was a disaster.

The most homely feeling hostel/pensions we have been to. The owner is really friendly and involved, and the vibe of the place is very relaxed. It´s not the poshest place in Alicante, but for 15 euro its an absolute bargain. Highly recommend : )

Very good location. It's only 5 min from the beach. The pension looked very traditional spanish place to live. It was very comfortable, because we could use a kitchen, besides it was amazing to eat in a nice terase. If I come back to Alicante, I'll definatelly go to Versalles.

Great place to stop over - the owner was not so good with English but friendly nonetheless and the rooms were very good size. The courtyard was great as well, we sat out there both nights with our sangria after we'd been exploring and out for tapas at one of the many restaurants within walking distance

The owner is lovely, v helpful offering info on Alicante, attractions, transport etc. Hostel was full of character, quirky, beautiful garden to sit in the evenings, charming rustic building in the old town, mismatched tiled tables & eccentric details everywhere, a couple of nice dogs. Bathrooms would be too basic for some, showers not great- not sure how this would work in winter. No safe in rooms. Overall peaceful, charming & quirky makes up for any of this! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a room above the street on a very hot night. Moved out because it was too hot and too noisy. Moveover, the sink drained into a bucket and the faucet wasn´t easy to turn off. I awoke in the middle of the night to discover the floor flooded. It didn´t help that the only outlet to plug in the fan was next to the sink, and the outlet sparked when you plugged in the fan.

We stayed in a filthy, hot (no aircon or fan) and noisy room overlooking the street with another (much better) hostel on the same street. The kitchen is shockingly bad,in fact the whole place looks like it's not far from needing to be demolished. The guy that owns/runs the place is a great guy,so I hate to say it but simply do not stay here. Go across the road and get some value.

We spent excellent holidays in Pension Versalles in Alicante. That Pension has its own unusual character, and the owner is very polite and friendly person. We feld in his pension as at home. It was pleasure to spend there holidays and meet the owner. Once again we thank him for all.

The place is excellent according to going to the beach (5min), to the bars, to the pretty much everything. beside that the terrasse is beautiful. Having a shared shower and WC is ot to worry about because you live and experience Alicante less at the place you stay, you enjoy it in the streets. Muchas gracias Miguel for the good music and help. All the best to Lolly and Mila. Hope to see you soon. Hasta luego, -a couple how loved it!

Great choise for those who want to feel a real "home" Alicante. El Senor de casa was very friendly despite of our loss of his hat. Rooms were not so big and also kitchen offers less comfort. But there is nice terrace and the location in the old part of Alicante is fantastic. Bathrooms are very clean. And as I said you will feel great home spanish atmosphere, friendly staff and funny dogs included. Definitely reccomended!

There was a very welcoming atmosphere here and staff were always friendly. All the information given on arrival about places to see etc. was useful. Hostel also has beach mats and other bits and pieces which guests are welcome to use. It is in a perfect location in the old part of Alicante, within easy walking distance of the beach and the centre of town. Although each room has its own key the side door is generally left open which makes it less secure, however the hostel generally felt safe
