The best hostel ever...
Exelent beds and kitchen with every stuff you need. Very clean and perfect bathrooms. Absouluty helpfull suff. Help us to find a campground after our stay in the hostel.
- Internet via Tomyzone 6 Dollar per 24 hours is a fair price.
- Free phone to Auckland availible.
- Quiet location, but not to far from the city (bus for 1,60 to Queensstreet).
- 24/7 foodtown 5 min. away.

it was good and nice, but quite far from the center, the staff helpless īdidnīt know what to visit or which bus to take to the center.

Pentlands is close to ideal. Great facilities, clean large kitchen, comfortable rooms, good location, safe, and maybe most importantly fantastic atmosphere. Both the quality of the staff and the calibre of guests makes Pentlands the best hostel choice I\'ve made. They\'re hospitable and accommodatating: the day I was supposed to check out, I decided to postpone my stay. They graciously found me another room (as they were pretty solidly booked). There was a lovely homely feel about this place and (most) staff and guests were extremely friendly and welcoming. However... we were permanently cold inde the hostel - there was insufficient heating in our room, the lounge was also poorly heated and we could see our breath whilst sat in the kitchen. Also, if you are prone to snoring, pray that you are not in the same room as the long-stayer who will have a go at you in the middle of the night if you do! Very Nice Hostel with nice staff and nice people. Location is a bit outside of the centre of the city, but there is a grocery store and bus stop all within walking distance. Never ended up staying....We had a booking and our flight was delayed ridiculously, we tried to contact several times them to see if they would hold our booking because we were getting in after midnight. Two wks later and we still never got a reply...
