Really lovely place to stay, has tea & coffee facilites & DVD player in the room is good for a night in & the owner was extremeely friendly & helpful. Although on the main street it is about 20-30 min to get into the centre, which is ok but can be expensive if you end up wanting to get taxis back after night out. We only stayed one night as we found a cheaper alternative to the same standard in the centre, but i would recommend this to anyone looking for a quieter stay or doesn't mind the walk

Penzy Guesthouse is only a short walk to Chaweng beach. Both Penzy and her husband were very helpful helping us sorted out the remaining of our trip, including booking a half day tour to Angthong National Park (with a discount). We booked a double room and it was very comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The room was cleaned everyday. It was handy to have a fridge and a wardrobe in the room.

Penzy and the team were great. On arrival they were waiting for us before heading out for dinner to ensure that we could check in ok, the service and hospitality was great and location near (literally 50m) to the beach road and also just an extra two minutes to the beach is perfect. Definitely the place to stay for a clean comfortable and not to costly visit to Koh Samui. Also very helpful to arrange onward travel for us - Thanks for the great stay!

Nice Staff, helped us a lot with our questions and cared a lot for us. Bathroom was large and very clean, as well as the room itself. Towels didn"t smell so good, but that was the only negative thing.

Penzy and her husband were great hosts and went out of their way to be helpful. Not only did they suggest some activities for us to do, but she helped us book all of our travel back to Bangkok. Accommodations were very clean and the location was amazing. Definitely one of the best guesthouses we have stayed in. Thanks guys!!

Asbolutely loved this place. Probably our favourite for our whole trip. We had a room with two double beds, which were surprisingly comfortable. Air condition, TV, good bathroom. To top off the great rooms, the guesthouse is run by a thai woman named Penzi and her husband. They were always saying hello whenever you came into the lobby, and were always there to help book tickets for anything, and pretty much anything you asked, they could help..dinner, nightclub, sightseeing. Love the place!

We spent a lovely 2 nights at Penzy Guesthouse, and even came back for another night after visiting Koh Tao. Penzy was simply amazing, organising everything for us at decent prices, and recommending great places to eat. So nice to stay at a place with such a homely touch! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a friendly, value for money place to stay on Samui.

This was the best hostel we stayed at in Thailand. The rooms were a good size and really clean. Penzy was incredible and noticed that we had booked our train back to Bangkok on the wrong day and spent 30 mins on the phone to the train company trying to sort it out for us. Great atmosphere and location, close to the beach and the main road of restaurants and bars.

I stayed just under a week at Penzy Guesthouse and it was like a home away from home. David and Penzy were really friendly and made us feel comfortable immediately. They gave us advice on where to eat, things to do and always ensured we were ok. They also pre-booked our transport to the Full Moon Party, before we arrived, assuming we wanted to go, which we did, and ensured that we didn't miss out. The location was fine but a taxi ride away from the main strip of restaurants and clubs.

Penzy and her husband were unbelievably great and very helpful. She was so quick to respond to email and very informative and well connected (as I needed a doctor/hospital visit from too much fun in Phagnan) whereby she knew exactly what to do. Called the hospital, called a driver and I was well taken care of from the first few minutes of being there. Thank you Penzy!! That neat a lot. As for the hostel, great deal for the money. A bit of a walk to the heart of it all but not bad.

The hostel was clean and comfortable, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. It was more expensive than other places we stayed but I think this is more to do with the area in general and time of year (New Year's). Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Chaweng.

Penzy was cool - helped me out a lot with tours, washing, taxis, etc. Location is about half hour walk to green mango if you are looking to party but otherwise nothing else was any real issue.
