Loved the feel of the place, but felt the showers needed a little more privacy (clouded glass goes see though with water!) and the electrics (lights and plug sockets) need looking at so they are use-able.

Excellent staff and facilities. Everything is neat and the ambiance is very good. Best choice for the price range. Thumbs up.

Great hostel with a amazing staff! I really enjoyed watch some games from the world cup with all the guests in the living area. Great experience, therefore, the hostel was quite far from the city center, you probably may have to get 2 to 3 different public transports to get in downtown, or airport. fortunately, You just need to pay the fare one time.

The hostel is located close to some pretty cool sites, but it is about 15 minutes from the city centre. Overall, great hostel with some awesome people working there that were always willing to help out.

A good place, even though the shower and toilets lack privacy...

Ok, I read the reviews before to booked but I decided to give this hostel a chance (of course for the price) but definitely I wouldn't return again. Everything is so dirty (over all kitchen and bathrooms) doesn't have air conditioner (so Lisbon at 38 degrees it's like to be in a oven). Is far from the center which is very important because if you want to save money staying in here you'll spend it on buses anyway. (each bus 1.80 €). even the staff doesn't has a map of the city.

It's not in the center of Lisbon, but it's the cheapest hostel around, not at all bad in any way. The kitchen was a little dirty (more the fault of guests than the hostel) and the free breakfast was 100% standard. Just beware that if you plan to spend time in the center (i.e. going out to dinner or drinks most nights you're there) you'll probably spend the money you saved on the room in busses. I normally walk and even I used the bus. Totally recommendable besides the distance, worth the money.

The soap was always empty and toilet paper, not very good help when you ask question (they don't seems to know what's going on for tourist with low budger) and the location is far from the centre... But you can easily see Belem, so the monastere. And also the centre is easy to access by public transportation... So you need to think of a budget to take the public transportation...

This hostel is not in downtown Lisbon, but still has a great location right next to the Belem monastary. The kitchen is fully equipped incl. full sized fridge, salt/pepper/other items left for use by other guests--only drawback: not enough dishtowels. The rooms were clean and we had a mirror in ours too. The bathrooms were all brand new tile with raintshower heads. Rooms, kitchen, bathrooms were cleaned every day. Lots of travelers to meet and hang out with. This is a GREAT VALUE for MONEY.

Lovely staff, good breakfast and location (very close to the famous "Pasteis de Belém" and Monastério dos Jeronimos, close to train station and bus stops where you can take bus to the city centre. But the connection wi fii was a little bit weak, but there was a room with television and comfortable sofas.

A bit far from the center (near torre belem), but busses all night. Good and cheap hostel, but sometimes hostel in the center is only 1 euro more and return ticket to this hostel is much more than this difference.

The hostel is situated outside the city center, which is great if you want more of a peaceful stay and don't plan on going out. The area is quite nice and there is a supermarket and some restaurants within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The downside with this hostel is that there aren't a lot of resources to find things to do (maps, free walking tour ads, etc.) That, and the bathroom stalls/showers are clear- yes, you can see most everything.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is very nice, great facilities, great price and very clean. I have stayed at a few different hostels in Lisbon and People Hostel is for sure the best one.

No one cleaned the women's bathroom over the course of 24 hours. There wasn't any toilet paper either. The dorms do not have locks on them and since there was no age restriction it made you feel uncomfortable because it felt as if it was a hostel for old men.Everyone was nice enough but it was definitely one of my least pleasant hostel experiences to date. The only positive is the price and location

The staff were very helpful and flexibale with no nasty surprises and the free breakfast was very good. However the area around the hostel was very quiet at night with not a lot to do.
