Thankyou for a great stay, we were made very welcome by Nasser the boss and Lei, who made us tea and prepared the very good buffet we ate in the evening... for only 5JD each. Fantasic view over the town, very helpful friendly caring people. Thanks!!!

Very helpful staff for whatever you needed. Right in the middle of town and easy to get to. Nice relaxing time. This is not a party hostel, but nice place for couples or families. If you want to share rooms, just email the owner as he matched me with another single traveler in a twin share room which was great. I would stay again when in Petra.

Other than the fact that the people at the desk will constantly try to book you a tour (and twist the facts a bit to get you to sign up) it's a decent spot.

the petra gate hostel is jordan hospitality at his best! the staff(Nasser and Leah) is extremely friendly and ready to do everything for their costumers. They serve really good jordan housemade food at night. the rooms are clean and internet is available. If you are going to visit Petra(Wadi Musa) I highly recommend this hostel to everybody!You will feel at home at this place!

sometimes water pressure very low, but this seems to be a common problem in the area from talking to others at other hostels..
staff makes you their family and are a great pleasure to stay with, make you feel at home.

Nasser and Leah were very friendly and attentive, one of the greatest hosts I have ever met. Although I was not fond of the room and the bath, the food was excellent and well served. In addition, Leah made additional food for us for the day-long trip in Petra. Nasser looked after us as we were some relatives. Thank you Leah and Nasser :O)
