Pfefferbett Hostel had a good location, right by the U ban, super easy to get into the city. The facilities were amazing, very cool building, exposed brick ceilings, clean, big windows. Out of my 10-day European travels this was the best hostel we stayed it. I would highly recommend it.

Staff felt somehow distant and they paid attention way more to their of business than customers. 24/7 bar and good breakfast buffet is big plus!

I stayed in a spacy single room, totally modern, totally clean. About 15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz or 5 from Rosa-Luxemburgplatz U-bahn. A nice garden bar, theatre just behind the hostel treshold. All the Prenzlauer Berg bars very close.

Always difficulties in check-in and how much it costs. City tax not included in deposit reservations and it adds on desk.

The female Polish receptionist we regularly encountered was surly, rude and unhelpful. We never received an initial introduction to the city and every time we needed advice or instructions all the staff were HOPELESS. There is zero mingling here as there are so few backpackers and so many children and old people. No fun young atmosphere but the place is clean, food is good, and the male staff quite friendly. Would recommend St Christopher's down the road. Shout out to aslan the dog.

This hostel was perfect! So near to Alexanderplatz, clean, staff were awesome! but maybe,as a minor suggestion, people who talking out after 12pm can be a bit quite. I highly recommend this hostel for you !

Cons Wifi is virtually non-existent. It borders on false advertising to say they offer free wifi. The high tech lockers (that use small magnetic keys) do not work properly, and the keys are easy to lose (and expensive). Alot of noise from the hallways. Poor design of the windows and door closers...They seemed to be hosting a youth event which did not help matters. Pros The beds were comfortable and it was right next to the ubaun. A cheap place to sleep.

A great experience staying at Pfefferbett. Good location (right by a u-bahn) and a very friendly atmosphere. Rooms are a good size. The only slight negative is the poor wifi - this may have secretly been a blessing.

Very nice hostel, quite modern. Friendly staff, organised rooms, high standard of cleanliness in all areas, included in the showers and toilets.

Hostel is in front of the subway. You can reach the city center in minutes. It is also located in a nice area with lots of bars and restaurants. The lobby is a cool place to hang out and meet new people. Good vibe. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again!

The best things about this hostel was the people that I met while staying there. That being said, I was disappointed overall. The staff, with one exception, were reserved to the point of being borderline rude. Also, the Wifi was nonexistent. They advertise that it is available in the common room. This is true only in the loosest sense of the word. The Wifi was inoperable for most of the day. And when it was available, the connection was horrible. I'm a traveler, no Wifi is a dealbreaker.

Very nice neighborhood, biergarten very close. Very clean and comfy. No wifi in rooms (and bad wifi downstairs).

I would compare the hostel very much to a hotel- would say it was great for traveling groups but maybe a bit to big if traveling alone and trying to meet up with other guests. On the whole was a fantastic place to stay and the staff were very friendly. Also shows football matches on a big projector which we enjoyed!

Great location, friendly staff, secure rooms with lockers, sturdy beds, nice terrace and bar, generous breakfast; but no wifi in the rooms and only rather slow wifi at ground floor around the reception.

Pros: Very nice hostel (clean, comfortable, small lockers for valuables) in a great location near a lot of german night life. Each bed had its own plug and lamp. The staff was really nice. The price of laundry was extremely reasonable compared to other hostels I've been to (only 5 euros) Cons: Wifi only works in the common room I would suggest buying a metro pass to help get around to the main sights, since Berlin is so big and Pfefferbett isn't in Mitte. Would definitely recommend!

Really cool vibe. Reasonable price. Good location location, underground across road. Reception staff not overly enthusiastic or helpful. Bar staff much nicer and cheerful.

Staff were incredible. They suggested so many cool things. €5 to wash and dry clothes was fair. Very clean hostel. Everyone gets a big locker so security is great. Hostel has a bar and does food and has party nights so a great laugh. Wifi only works on ground floor but is good. Location is quite central. They rent bikes too for a €10 per day
