The staff were unfriendly, not very helpful. Great location but a lot of building work going on which started early in the morning!

This was the nicest hostel I've stayed in. The beds are really tall, long, and comfy. The staff is super. The internet is fast. The place was really clean. It's in an easy location. I would recommend this hostel to everyone.

The facilities were excellent but the staff was extremely unhelpful. Whenever I asked them a question about Berlin (things to do, how do go about doing certain things) they would often reply rudely, trying to end the conversation as soon as possible. They didn't make me feel welcome or excited about staying at the Hostel. There is no encouragement for lone travellers to meet other people. Not the hostel environment I'm used to.

The hostel is secure (personal locker), comfortable (bed quality), and clean. That is all I need. Thanks.

This was a very nice hostel, with in-room lockers for free. Everything was really clean, and the showers were nice. I'm not sure if there was some sort of field trip while I was there, but the whole place was filled with grade schoolers. Not what I was looking for in a hostel.

Everything was perfect except wifi. It didn't work in the room I stayed which was 1st floor. So I had to use internet on the ground floor. But staffs were very friendly, and the room was very clean. I used shared shower room, but it was a bit cold. But in general, I liked this hostel, so I would definitely stay here next time.

Everything that seemed possible to go wrong did go wrong when I first checked in. It's all very advanced, but somehow I had a very hard time checking in and had to go to the desk 3 or 4 times, I think it was just a case of bad luck though and I really enjoyed my stay here. it's a very nice, modern hostel at a very cheap price. it's great.

Staff was a mixed bag, first guy that set me up seemed like he was in a bad mood and wasn't friendly and didn't seem was really interested. However other staff were fine, one of them was much more friendlier. Location is alright, takes 20-25minutes to get into the centre however it is close to a supermarket and an underground with other eat-outs in the area. The Hostel itself is very nicely set up, the view outside my room was really nice and we got a nice breeze through.

It was an OK experience; average. The music in the bar area was usually too loud and it was hard to read or even use the computer and concentrate; not enough variety in the music; after a long day out it is nice to have a relaxing atmosphere, not a disco. The food in the "restaurant" was OK for the most part but they usually didn't have many things on the menu and there was not enough variety. I actually prefer hostels with a kitchen .... The breakfasts for 5€ were fine, but always the same.

This hostel is THE place to stay in Berlin for the budget traveler. Its safe, clean, comfy, secure, the staff are very helpful, location wise its near the tube, the supermarket, cafe and restaurants. Affordable too.If I ever end up in that neck of the woods, I will stay here again.

Great place!! The building was charming and really nicely laid out. The showers were warm, spacious and always pretty clean. The 6 bed dorm was a perfect size, beds were sturdy (no excessive creaking when you wanted to come back at 5am after clubbing :P) and the windows could be opened as much as you liked! YAY! The locker system was FAB, FAB, FAB!! Staff were helpful and happy to answer questions, though not overly welcoming!! And the tortilla chips were grrrreeeat!! Wonderful stay here!

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Good location, easy to find. Cheap and delicious food. Friendly staff. Wide and comfy bed, reading light, locker. It's nice that the toilet and bathroom are separate, adding to the convenience of the dorm. Free wifi in the lobby but not in the room.

Amazing location, down the street from great bars. I recommend the Last Cathredral and 8MM right down the street from the hostel, as well as great vintage shops. The staff was helpful in recommending the best food I've ever tasted. The Pfefferbrett was beautiful, modern, and a great way to experience Berlin.

My friends and I were very pleased with the Pfefferbett Hostel! The beds were really comfortable, each person has a secure locker that opens with their room key (no having to bring/buy your own lock so that you stuff is safe), and it's right across the street from a convenient metro stop which makes getting around the city and back extremely easy. They serve a big breakfast buffet for 5 euro, have fast-working computers in the lobby, and the staff is very laidback. We definitely recommend it!
