The location of this hostel is great. In an adorable neighborhood (with lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby) and also right across from a Ubahn stop. Most points in East Berlin are definitely walkable from the hostel too--I had no trouble walking to the Berlin Wall Memorial or to the main sites by Brandenburg Gate. If location matters to you, this is a great choice!

No kitchen access. Some staff were unnecessarily hostile. Cleanliness was good but had to request to have toilets cleaned.

When we arrived there was no-one on reception, after 5 mins we found a staff member who was rude, drunk and useless. Another guest said his girlfriend had lost her phone to the receptionist to which he replied 'I can't help you, i'm busy drinking' . The room was really nice but there was ridiculously loud music blaring until 4am (on the 3rd floor we had to close the window and it was still really loud) other nights were not like this so I assume this one staff member ruined our experience.

Great location in a cool neighborhood.

I like the place .it is not to expensiveand it is in my area of Berlin . Also good it is close to the ubahn

Absolutely loved staying here! Would definitely recommend to friends. Extremely helpful and fun staff! Loved the downstairs indoor outdoor common area. Wish the wifi reached the rooms upstairs, other than that, awesome hostel for a great price and located close to the metro.

As a person who doesn't love hostels I actually liked the Pfefferbett Hostel. We had a private room and bathroom and both were great. Really appreciated the breakfast and laundry services. It is close to the transit system, and most sights were only 10-15 minutes away. If they had air conditioning it would be even better. The heat made us sleep with the window open, and a lot of noise came from neighboring businesses. They quieted down around 12 midnight, but it was still frustrating.

I really liked this hostel and my stay here. My only recommendation would be to create a different seating arrangement in the commons area. Rather than have many tables with four chairs around them, more bench style seeting with fewer small tables might facilitate more interaction among guests.

Beautiful hostel, but if you qant to meet people it isn't the place to go. Really bad wifi and only in the lobby. Everything is modern and clean.

The shower spout auto shut-off and the wifi only being available in the lobby are irritating but otherwise the hostel is very good and has a pretty good atmosphere on weekends also. I enjoyed my stay here.

Nice and silence location in the city. Youth activity on the ground floor by the reception in the night but still quiet in the room. We enjoyed the stay, although it was a bit expensive since we only stayed one night. It was nice that they let us leave our luggage during the day.

This place was great, the staff behind the desk and bar were awesome and told me all the places to go in the area. Really pleasant dudes. The rooms are fantastic with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with spacious shower. Only downfall is the atmosphere, they have a bar but the seating arrangement just does not make it social. If you get some communal seating this bar would be great

We enjoyed our stay here so much, the staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was great and the rooms were lovely. Only minor criticism was shower rooms could be better designed- everything gets soaked! Will definitely be staying here again, couldn't ask for more.

It was entirely too hot in the entire building and no wi-fi in the rooms is a little absurd.

Air conditioning would have been a massive improvement! So hot in the dorm rooms.

All good, lovely staff

Very clean and bright rooms. Staff were helpful, would recommend

Very nice hostel which is central to most things. The lockers are huge which was helpful to keep large bags in and the staff were very nice.

lockers were there, albeit small and difficult to use and anyone could walk in to the hostel at any time, and our door sometimes didnt lock shut. close to a tube station, but evrything was a tube ride away, very little to do in walking distance. staff were polite but didnt seem to bother to go the extra mile, such as showing you places to go/eat or how to get there. hostel was clean, however the facilities were in short number. no cooking facilities meant you had to eat out.

Pros -location was nice, close to the underground Cons -very few showers -shower stalls old, showers were push-button, have to press for water every 15 or so seconds -toilets often clogged -wifi only in reception area -bad sound proofing - doors close loudly, voices and footsteps very audible through the walls -accommodates large groups - a school group were here at the time of our stay and really ruined the atmosphere -staff did absolute minimum required of them, pretty unhelpful
