This is a good place to take a rest. You can see monkeys across the windows in the morning !! It's amazing. The people there is very friendly. I recommend it.
A lot of people complain about this place's location, but we thought it was great. It's an easy 5-10 minute walk to town (a little uphill, but by no means "steep"), and it's easy to get a good night's sleep outside of all of the noise. The air con was great, it was nice having a balcony. We did find a small mouse in the room, but given the location you have to cut them some slack. Staff was okay, some were friendly, some weren't.
I wanted to give this place a great review but a couple things prevented this. Great location only short walk to the beach and one of the few quiet places to sleep on the island with the party beach. Bungalows were in good conditon and the whole resort is well kept. The problem is security we left our bags next to the reception table for 2 hrs and my girlfriends iPod was stolen from her purse which was actually hidden under our bags. Pretty sure it was the staff since no one was staying there.
It really depends on what your looking for. If your looking for the parties and nightlife, I don't suggest this location because it is a bit of a walk. But if you are looking for somewhere quiet, away from the noise it's perfect. Our room had a nice balcony with a spectacular view, however we would only stay there for one night because of its location. Its on a hill, and you have to climb some steep stairs to get to your room so if be ready for the trek!
nice view from the very top bungalow! no wifi in it though... rooms are clean and spacious. BUT absolutel horrible, rude stuff at the reception and no promised pick up at the pier...
The room we had (we paid for the basic) was a huge trek up the hill from reception. Despite the fact that it was built in the wilderness there weren't many insects in the room and the hotel also provided a great big mosquito net which gave us some piece of mind. It's a small walk from the town but the hardest part for us was the last hill up to our room.
Great view from the bungalow! Well worth the climb! This is a great place if you are looking for a relaxed quiet place to stay. I would definitely stay here again.
its a cool bungalow in the midle of the forrest, the coolest thing by the stay was that we got waked up by monkeys, pulling the curtains and trying to get into our room. haha great fun! the location its a bit far away but its still worthy!
Every insect known to mankind was found in our room! Staff didn't honair the breakfast coupon !

Good! Most of the staff are really nice and helpful. Good pool and nice rooms. Walk isn't bad at all, shouldn't put people off.
Lovely rooms, quite clean. Despite the walk a very enjoyable stay.
The girl at the front desk is very rude and when we checked in they made us wait until 2pm to go to our room for no reason. Everything else is fine location is a bit of a walk. The girl at the front desk is a robot she shows no emotion and speaks 2 words of english. All the other staff speak 1000 times better then her! !

These little huts are wonderful but be wary of the location. They're a hefty walk from the town centre, which can be good if you're after a good nights sleep. But if you want to party until 3 in the morning you're better off choosing somewhere else. Once you walk the 15 minutes back to the guest house, there's another 5 minutes climb up flights of stairs to your hut. Wonderful view though.
Staff were incredibly unhelpful and unfriendly. There was a problem with my booking even though I had my ref number and the girl at the desk constantly acted like it was our fault and forced us to take an a/c room 500bht more expensive with no discount. The bar shut at 8 o'clock and the lights were turned off in the common area. It is a 10 minute walk from the end of the town but the sound from the beach travels so far you still don't get the benefit of a quieter sleep.
My room was at the top of the place soo I had to walk up every night to the last little house. And I telling you that a long way and the stair wasn't so egal! But other way it was cool and calm! The bed is comfortable, the shower ok. The staff is not very chatty type but that fine I guess!
