The beds were what you expect at hostels. I couldn't sit upright on the bed because of the 3 level bunk beds. However, the bed was comfortable, the facilities were ample for the number of people being housed. The price is worth the stay. Also, the front desk will allow people into the bedroom areas which is a good security process and i have never seen other hostels do this. This ensures only people who have checked in can go in.

Great staff, great location, very comfy and home-y, although a little subdued at night.

Good stay, had a lot of fun. The staff we're really good and the beer was cheap, so it wasn't too bad all in all. They've started renovating the building with paint and stuff. The location can't be beat, I went to London Zoo, which is nearby Regent park, it was fantastic.

exactly as expected for the price and was what I was looking for. I wouldn't expect it to suit if I was travelling along and hoping to meet other people there to hang out with but as basically a bed for the night it was perfect

decent location, clean and secure but the rooms are a bit on the small size and overall the place has a very dated worn feel...

Rooms with 15 beds are a bit little. Decent cleanliness, especially in the toilets. Very nice staff. It is near to public transport, in a calm street of a vivacious area. Satisfying solution for a short period of stay.

Besides Jonathan, your staff was very unhelpful. They seem to know nothing about the city and do not seem very welcoming.

not a bad place, but having to pay £1.50 for the simple breakfast was a bit much. definitely not enough showers/restrooms per floor, so we had to waste lots of time sitting and waiting for an open shower. this place needs a bit of work, but it has loads of potential.

Take the tv out of the downstairs bar area...it creates an unsocial vibe..

This hostel was in a great part of town, but the actual facilities and rooms were depressingly small and uncomfortable. I guess you get what you pay for, but I think it was overpriced for the tiny rooms and the horrible mattresses and pillows.

I went to the Phoenix by myself and i liked it very much, everyone (staff and guests) were very nice and polite. I slept in a mixed room of 14 beds and it was okey. It‘s near the tube what is very comfortable, and you can even walk to most touristic places.

Stayed 7 nights, really enjoyed it here. The kitchen is a microwave and fridge and the amenities arrangement was interesting - but sufficient. Location is good, can easily walk down to marble arch and closest tube is well connected. It was clean, staff were awesome (always someone on desk), lockers in rooms and storage in lobby (both at a menial cost). Wifi was a little weak on the top floor but strong in the common / bar area (where all the action is anyway). Would stay again and recommend.

I had an early morning EasyBus to Stansted, so the only reason I booked this hostel for my last night in London was due to its close proximity to Baker Street Station. It served that purpose well. However, the dorm room was extremely cramped with bunk beds stacked three-high to the ceiling, making it less than ideal for an extended stay.
