One of the best hostels I've stayed at in London. The two most important things in my mind - security and location - are things Phoenix excels in. For such a cheap price it is a steal.

Fine for one quick night. Worst mattress I've ever experienced outside of developing countries. Had to sleep on top of the duvet (folded in two!). Also they need to put an extension lead in the room as two sockets for one room isn't enough.

Very nice stay. Only downside was slightly small and busy toilets. Staff was ultra friendly and made the stay enjoyable

Honestly, it's not as bad as some reviews make this hostel sound. The bathrooms can get dirty, but they were cleaned daily after everyone got ready for the day so that's the only time they were gross. My mattress was the best hostel mattress I had anywhere, it is dim lighting and only has a few plug ins in the rooms, but not something to complain about. It's close to the tube, Abbey Road, and the staff were amazing! The front desk guy (I think his names Tom) was amazing! I'd stay here again!

Im a solo traveller and stayed in the 14 bed for a couple of nights. The staff were all great - super friendly and helpful when needed. Rooms are reasonable spacious compared to other hostels and clean. Common space down stairs is great with a small bar, minor cooking facilities and lots of lounging space. Breakfast is also good for an extra 2pounds. Also very accessible to other areas with undergrounds within 3min walk Would stay again

Kitchenette means no cooking or sink, only a microwave. Lockers in the rooms but not enough for the number of people staying and also have to bring a lock or pay extra.

It is cheap. It is close to the railway system. Costco is 2m walk. There is a used book store 1m away. The staff are chill. The staff girls are cute. My biggest issue tho was the showers... you kinda have to "research" the good ones and make strategical plans to capture them.
