Jonathan was fantastic ! He went out of his way to help us plan our trip so we could see a maximum of London during our stay. I was used to stay in hostels but this is the first time I experience such great people. I totally recommand the Phoenix, more than any other place in London.

My stay was generally great; I just wish that the staff at the front desk had been a little more helpful regarding directions. When both computers are in use and you're trying to figure out how to get to the airport, some non-begrudgingly-given help would be appreciated!

Scott, who was on the bar/ reception, was excellent- really helpful with local info.

The staff at The Phoenix Hostel were very friendly and helpful, particularly Scott who went out of his way to find me a charger for my phone, and also gave very quick and friendly service over the bar. They also promote a friendly and engaging atmosphere in the bar area, with VERY cheap drinks to help get your night started.

Free Wifi throughout the whole hostel was great, especially seing as though I stayed here for a week. The staff were also great. Breakfast was really good with toast, cereal, fruit and yogurt and reasonably priced at 1 pound 50. The hostel is a little run down, but I had a great time here, particularly because it had a great community feel. A lot of people stay here for longer than just a couple days so you get to know everyone.

I had a great time at the hostel, the atmosphere was great and the servicd was amazing. Jonathan was the receptionist with whom I talked the most and he´s not only very proffesional but also a friendly and lovely person.

Almost everything was great. Rooms are very clean, a lot of showers, toilets. Nothing was stolen. I think that people come here mostly because of Atmosphere - big area downstairs is drawing people in. Staff is very helpful. Definitely recommended for everyone visiting London!

I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. Location is great - it`s 5 minutes from a tube station. The showers were cleaned every day and even if you were the last one showering, the water was still warm. There`s a bar downstairs and breakfast is 1,50 including toast, yoghurt, fruit, cheese etc. We liked it here very much will certainly come back. PS: Scott is great!

Was a nice and clean hostel with central location. It has a nice common area downstairs which is a bar. A microwave and a fridge provided in the bar. Thanks to Rosario and Miguel for the hard work to keep the hostel clean!

Johnny and Paul were awesome at the front desk and welcomed you very time you came back as if you were returning home. They organised nights out where the whole hostel could go out for cheap drinks, and always had the customers in mind. Probably some of the best hostel staff I have ever met! Id recommend this hostel, especially if you are a solo traveler and love to meet new people!

good location, breakfast is worth the 1.50. could really use some upgrades and cleaning it was quite dirty compared to most hostels in europe. only having one bathroom per floor for about 25 people was pretty annoying. great tube access and great staff. love that they gave a free beer in the common room for anti facebook day to encourage talking to other travellers!

The location was central. The 14 bed room is so busy with triple bunk beds, besides that it was quite nice overall. Free wi-fi, cheap breakfast etc. And its a clean place thanks to Miguel and Rosario.

We had great service for the few nights we were there. Felt extremely welcomed by Jonathan who was working when we arrived. Both Jonathan and other staff were very helpful and were more then happy to answer any questions we had.
