We arrived late at night to be told they had no record of our booking, despite showing them the hostelworld confirmation email, and therefore the deposit we had already paid would not be honoured. Over an hour later they "found" our booking and returned the deposit but supposing there had been no rooms free - as is often the case at this time of year - by that time we would have been wandering the streets of an obscure part of the city late at night with nowhere to stay.
