Nice place but not on main strip for backpackers
No wi-fi in the rooms, which for us is important. Otherwise, nice clean rooms and relatively close to the town centre.
Excellent place to stay however let down by the fact that the restaurant closes at 4pm?? and there is no wi fi in the rooms. Small price to pay I suppose for the peace and quiet of the location.
The only bad thing was that there are a few insects in the room, but if you don't care about that you're gonna have a really good time. The room was huge and the staff friendly. I'd recommend it!
Awesome little hotel just far enough from the loud center, great food, staff and awesome rooms.
The hotel is set in a beautiful garden and my room was lovely - clean and a good size. The only recommendation I would have to improve the overall experience is to provide internet in the rooms as well as the common area. The common area is a covered space outdoors and the insects in Laos are no joke. It would have been nice to be able to relax in the comfort of my bug-free air-conditioned room while online.
Comfy room : spacious, clean, good beds. Easy walk to the center but far enough away to feel apart from all the backpackers. Great garden atmosphere with big fields in the back. Food is good, especially the breakfast options, though slightly over-priced and closed too early for dinner. In the evening you can hear the booming bass from the restaurant/club nearby but it always stops early enough so it isn't a problem. There are a few dogs around but they're not aggressive. Would stay here again!
Good basic accommodation if you are just staying one night in Surat Thani. The guest house owner can arrang mini van pick up for you if needed and can also help you with other transportation needs. Owner is very kind and helpful. Was waiting to greet us upon arrival.
Staff was great, Neil was helpful in booking everything and very quick to reply to emails in advance. Hostel is a little off the path but this was expected and welcomed
We loved this place. We booked 2 nights and we stay 4. The bungalows are very comfortable and very nice to relax after a day of activities. A/C worked well and the staff was very friendly. It wasn't that far from the main street and the price was the best. Very good price for that kind of double room.
Great hostel with very friendly staff. Only issue was that they didn't provide free maps.
Great place to stay and visit. Watch to top stair to room 2 it has a big gap in it.
Beautiful place, lovely big rooms with TV, ensuite and aircon. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and they serve food and drink all day long, with free tea, coffee and water. They also book tours, buses, and have bikes and motorbikes for hire. Slightly out of town but only 5mins walk, and means it is in a nice and quiet area. Only downside is that the wifi is intermittent and slow when it does work.
Neil and Anu the owners are lovely. We had a great stay here and kept extending our time in Vang Vieng because of this wonderful place. My friend and I shared a double room which was spacious and had aircon, TV etc. Only negatives are that the shower was impossible to get satisfyingly hot for longer than 20 secs and the wifi was dodgy (although this was the case everywhere we tried around vang vieng) However these was totally outweighed by the location, food and friendly staff.
We stayed in a superior double room - it was huge with tonnes of natural light. I really loved the secluded relaxed feeling of the resort. It was a little bit noisy early mornings with roosters, dogs, chickens and pigs however that's pretty common in SE Asia! I would definitely recommend staying here!
