Excellent stay. Was upgraded free of charge from single to double deluxe. Clean and spacious rooms. Would definitely stay there again...
This is a lovely guesthouse set in beautiful gardens, with friendly staff and a nice restaurant. The double room we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. It was nice to be outside of the centre, while being able to walk there in 5 minutes. A great spot!
Bit far out, one of the girls we were with wasn't comfortable walking back alone. Otherwise excellent, owner and manager both amazing. I'd stay again.
I would stay here again. It's quite yet still really close to town. I was originally worried about Mosquitos/Malaria since it was so lush, but the staff do a very good job at smoking them out. Very helpful and friendly staff. We booked all our tours and you can also book bus tickets as well (best to do this one day before).
The resort is located just across the 'old airstrip' (unused!) 5 min walk from town. It is set around a central garden/courtyard area that also has hammocks to relax in. We sat on our balcony a few nights just enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The internet is functional (not super fast) but fine for checking travel websites etc. The owner, from New Zealand, and the other staff are really helpful for local information, tours, buses etc. Overall, one of the best places we have stayed in.
Beautiful spot, room was spacious, clean, and cozy. The only downside was that sound from our upstairs neighbours carried a lot, but luckily they didnt tend to stay up late. This was a lovely place; would definitely book here again!
This resort is just outside of town--which can be a blessing if you want a quiet nights sleep. While not a backpacker's resort by any sense, as a solo traveler, I still was able to meet some people for adventures into town. The owners are extremely helpful and clearly know the area well. This is an ideal spot if you want a few nights to relax with some privacy, but not where you want to go if you are looking for a raging dorm/hostel party.
Good location, sloppy staff. The mngr. can't can't handle the stress and it shows. His response to a customer asking why the wifi doesn't work is "good luck". He can't refer you to good places to eat he claims go to the night market...which is a few stands out front that are open all day? -not exactly night market. Made us change rooms to find out no one even took our old room! Bed was atrocious in second room and cold showers, with a moldy sent that oozes out of wc. Wifi does not work at all
We stayed in a twin room which was large and of decent size. The bathroom had hot water. There were some outdoor seats outside our room! The resort is located across from the old airfield- and is a close walk to the town shops. No safe in room but valuables can be left with reception. Receptionist and owner were friendly and informative. Breakfast is not provided for free. This resort was not a social one if you were looking to meet other travellers.
Amazing place! Would recommend to anyone, nice quite time away from the bar scene but not to far of a walk if you want some drinks as well!

Spacious, private room with ensuite, in tranquil surroundings.Hostel offset from the main centre,so a quiet location but only 2min stroll to centre.Generously priced, free drinking water+great communal area.Food varied, tasty+convenient.Neil, is lovely+very patient with our questions. He sorted excursions+bicycle hire.We extended our stay a further 4nights.WiFi not great, but this was across VangVieng+didnt detract from our stay-only highlight for those who work.We would highly recommend!
Lovely room, great value for money and great, quiet garden area for relaxing. This hotel is slightly out of the way of the main strip area and you have to walk over a large unlit, gravelled area to get there so pack a torch!
