i didnt have any expectations going to the hostel but when i arrived, the lift took ages to come, the private twin room was more like a prison cell and the mattresses just were not comfortable at all. What i found to be also very annoying was both mornings, my friend and i were awoken at a very early hour due to the constant noise of the construction going on in the building which we had not been informed of.

The bathroom has been terribly dirty. There was no paper for the toilets. We didn't have sheets in our bedroom. I expected more for the price we were paying. The staff was very unpleasant, didn't talk to us, because they were occupied watching films on their computer.

The only thing I found awful is the ladies showers on the 7th floor..... Freezing cold in a tiny room with a fan straight to the showers.

It is the second time I visit that hostel. I am 63 years old and all the young visiters were kind to me. I like traveling still with only my toothbruch, and a little clothes- and cheap . So thank you for the hostels .Ifelt safe .

dirty shower, dirty toilets, very noisy, room very cold as the heating block wasn't working and the window was sealed with basic tape.... had to try three rooms before getting a free one!

good location but not exactly great for anything else, paint peeling from walls and generally a feeling of not being that clean. - do take a sleeping bag. ok for one night.

Lot's of stairs (difficult with luggage) Elevator was not in service. Showers not effecient or private. Otherwise, perfect location, rooms were clean, nice common area . Lukah the tour information staff was above and beyond amazing. Great information provider.

The main benefit of this hostel is its location, right in Picadilly circus which is fantastic. Not the cleanest or nicest hostel I've stayed in. If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep at night, its not a bad choice

Greeat location, right in Piccadilly Circus, staff is polite and open to any complaint. Unfortunately it's not really clean, in our corridor there was dirt in the corners and in the closet of our room there was a bin full of trash and leftover of someone's meal... Showers available, with hot water too! (not so obvious in an hostel) but little sinks, only one per bathroom.

The great thing about this hostel is the location and the price. You can't find better! Appart from that, the staff is not really nice and welcoming and forget to mention informations, such as breakfast available but not included, bed sheets available, alarm going on every tuesday morning for 15 min (we found out the hard way).... The toilet and the shower are catastrophic! Very very dirty and no privacy what so ever! I think this hotel is great to stay for 1 night only not more!

I've stayed in numerous hostels before but have been very disappointed with this one. In addition to dirty bathrooms and a badly maintained private room the staff seemed to be annoyed and tired every day. I was also surprised when the breakfast which was claimed to be free on their website suddenly cost money. The location was excellent but unfortunately the exciting promises made online weren't fulfilled in real life.

I visited London for a cheap weekend break and this hostel ticked the location and price boxes. As other reviewers say; its not the cleanest or most atmospheric of places but its in a brilliant location in central London.

Basicly, everything is ok. We got fresh bed utilities, but in the reservation in no word there was mentioned, that the "private"-2-Bed room has only got ONE medium bed in it. That's definately not ok. The bathroom (especially the wash-bowl) was a little to small, but the cleanliness was just ok for a (youth)hostel. All in all, it was just ok.

We enjoyed our stay very much, especially the really friendly guys at the entrance. The hostel was perfectly situated in the center so that we could reach all the theatres walking. (We went so see 6 musicals in 4 days.)
