Good value for money; a short walk from the beach and main street; free breakfast. This is a great little hostel. For things to do in Paihia, I highly recommend catching the ferry across to Russell for a look around.

We stayed for 3 days in one of the private double rooms which were really cute individual rooms up the hill. It was very quiet and peaceful but still close to town that you can walk to the ferry and restaurants down the beach. Free internet and breakfast is a bonus too. The staff were very helpful, getting us onto the tall ship tour at the last minute and giving us advice about the weather and when was best to do certain activities.

This is a great chilled out small hostel. Free breakfast and wifi a big selling point. Would stay there again.

Nice cosy little hostel. Not much to do but there is a lounge, computer access for free, breakfast cereals and bread and communal unisex showers and toilets are clean. Also cooking facilities though we did not use them. Rooms are quite small - we booked a twin which was actually two bunk beds but was fine.

Nice place, good character and friendly staff. No towels in rooms though so take your own. Otherwise great place and Paihai is definitely worth a visit. Recommend a go on the sea kayaks out to the islands.
