Stayed for a couple of nights to do the Salt Flats tour. Just around the corner from the tour operators and pick up points, tons of dining options nearby. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Big comfy bed, bitter cold at night so the heater is a plus.
The owners are very nice but the hostel is super basic (internet did not work). The showers are good but the beds are not. At least it is warm at night because of heating inthe room. We think Uyuni is a tourist trap, you have a reasonable deal with Piedra Blanca.
We've stayed just one night after arrive from Potosi and we found a very nice shower (lot of water and very hot)! We recommend!
We couldn't stay the night because we had to decide for a Salar tour straight away. The staff was really nice with and helpful, let us use bathrooms (and the heather at the reception ;-)), etc. The place is right in the middle of all you need, basicly agencies and restaurants.
Good Budget place, solves the overnight stay purpose. Hot Showers. Provided space heater was nice. Breakfast was extremely poor. Definite need for improvement.
No wifi, but hot showers and a heater in the dorm overnight which were both welcome after the freezing cold salt flats tour! Beds also had lots of blankets with more available upon request and there were lockers outside of the dorm. A little hard to find as you have to go through a courtyard to get to the hostel. Does the job for a night-
Good hostel, plenty of blankets on the bed and free extra if needed, also staff provided heaters at night which were needed! Good facilities, good bathroom with hot water, staff had little English but pleasant enough, helped out when the tv went on the blink. Good common areas, good value, very good location pin the centre of uyuni.
We only stayed one night before Uyuni tour, great showers, warm beds, only the tiniest complaint that the heaters turn off automatically at 8am, so if you get up at 9 the room is quiet cold already.
We stayed here after a 3 day tour from San Pedro, in a double room (shared bathroom). Good large room with comfy bed and fleece blankets. Breakfast of coffee/tea with bread
nice with heater in rooms, you won't feel cold at night!
Uyuni isn´t a town you stay for long in. The hostel though had hot water and they brought in a heater before we went to sleep so it was warm. It was expensive enough but there are no other hostels listed on hostelworld so it´s hard to know what the rest are like. It had no Wifi unfortunately but there are internet cafes around. Breakfast was basic but that´s akin to the rest of Bolivia. There wasn´t much happening there but most people go just for the Salt flat tour
Very welcoming rececptionist, hot showers, heater provided for bedroom overnight. Nice TV room and small but clean kitchen area. We only stayed one night but found it to be perfectly fine and convenient. There is a nice restaurant in the entrance to the hostel building (on the left as you enter).
Right in the centre of town, near all the facilities you might need, a great place to start your Uyuni trip.
