better than expected, the staff was great! friendly, helpful, the food was great, the only thing that we did not like were the linnens of the beds, they were not to shape the bed and kept falling , other than that GREAT!

A nice hostel for Puerto Lopez. It gets a bit noisy at night but it seems like that's the way it is everywhere in this town. Close to the beach and shops with a lot of good restaurants nearby. A great jumping off place for excursions to Isla de la Plata. Otherwise, not too much to do there.

Many aspects about the hotel were point on: Cute, great location, free breakfast. The staff were friendly too, including the cat which got thru an open window and was found sleeping in my bed. Speaking of which, my bed was never made nor the room cleaned during my entire multi-night stay. I asked about this on the second day and they said something in Spanish that sounded like they'd get around to it on the second day. Never happened even by day 3. Then the sewer 20 paces away got pumped!

For me, personally, I am more concerned about security than anything else. I could care less about the atmosphere or what not, but I can honestly say that I felt extremely secure at this place. Aside from the security, the staff of the hotel was awesome, they were so accommodating. Also the location, which is in a plaza next to the beach, could not have been better. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in Puerto Lopez.
