Had a relaxing time . A bit out of the way so you need a car to venture out to enjoy the sights of Hawaii .

I try to keep it short. It's one of the worst hostels i ever was.

My friend and I had an amzing stay and felt very welcomed. Staff is great. We had problem with getting to the airport to Hilo and everyone in the hostel was trying to figure out how we can get there. Thanks to staff We made it on time to our flight. there is a great bay very close to go snorkling. Without car it's complicated to get around at the big island but we managed it. Room and facalities were clean. Laundry service worked well. all in all the atmosphere was great!!! Thanks

First and foremost, YOU NEED A CAR TO GET ANYWHERE ON BIG ISLAND. Alright, this place is awesome and low key. The staff at the time really makes the place vibrant and down to earth. The accommodations were your standard affair and always pretty clean and neat. I liked that the bathrooms and showers were in outdoor stalls. The kitchen has one guest fridge, so it can get crowded. Captain Cook's trailhead is just a five minute walk away. Do it! It's challenging, but fun.

Pineapple Park Hostel is a great place to meet new people, trek the island, relax, and feel at home. The staff are wonderful and helpful for whatever you need help with. The hostel is clean with a decent kitchen and lovely common areas all outside. The Captain Cook trail is super close and many grocery stores and farmer markets nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay after 7 days and hope to return! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and social place to be!

Great place! Friendly and nicely located close to the trail to the Captain Cook monument.
