What an excellent hostel, competition would be hard in Queenstown, and Pinewood holds up. The short walk into town was not really a problem

Definitely worth the 10 minute walk from downtown Q'town. You sleep in a cabin with it's own facilities which get you into contact with fellow travellers very easily and makes that everyone feels responsible for the state of the cabin. I'd recommend the YHA, but when that's full, this is a great second for the non-party-hostel-lovers like me.

Other than other hostels, this hostel is made up of small units which gives you a more personal feeling in the units. A big minus: They offer free WiFi and all we got was a voucher for 20min!

Hostel was very accommodating and understanding when we couldn't make the first night of our booking through Hostelworld (9th jan) due to being stuck in Milford Sound. They waived their standard cancellation policy and advised us to speak to Hostelworld about having the 10% deposit we'd paid for that night rdfunded to us. Really helpful.
