Great location. The view and atmosphere of the spa is great!

A nice hostel, spread over a big area with nice views back over town, lake and mountains. Positives - near to major supermarket and cornet peak, quite peaceful. Negatives - family and large student group focused, 10/15 walk into town. Overall I enjoyed my stay here! Also free wifi!

Main entrance to the building is not lock that mean anyone can appear in the kitchen area. Kitchen is not clean as expected (i stayed 4 hostels in the last 7 days, Pinewood is the least clean). Wifi must improve! Weak connection from our unit (Block Q), and it is not usable and keep showing error in connection. You should invest more in your wifi. Other than that, Pinewood is alright for short stay. Location is 10 mints walking to town.

Good facilities for people who are in Queenstown to bike/ski/hike, feels more like a camp set up than a traditional hostel but there's plenty of people around. Really easy walk into town, a decent amount of parking and staff are always willing to help out.

Staff was very helpful and nice :)

Found hairs in our bed, Wifi that didnt work in the lodge and Coming back at night with finding out that someone has taken your bed and dumped your cloths somewhere else, staff had given the other girls the wrong room key, which is a mistake that never should happen or a normal human being would have gone back to reception aswell when they found out there wasnt enough spare beds. They didn't even give us anything for all the inconveniance (that we had to move house at 1am, we had to get up early

Nice place. I like the self-contained little cabins, but it's not really ideal for good atmosphere. It's a little far from town as well, but it makes a nice walk. Close to a grocery store so that's a bonus. There are no outlets inside the rooms, which is really inconvenient. Everyone's devices were either dead or plugged in odd corners in the kitchen.

Great place to meet fellow backpackers. Lovely to have a lounge/kitchen area in each block. Perfect for solo travellers and groups. Block I was in had a tiny kitchen with no work surface to prepare food or any cupboards to store food, not ideal when staying for a week. Also wifi really poor unless you sit outside reception or in the hub area. Would recommend

Nice chalet type hostel right under the pine forest hills of the mountain in Q'town. Decent facilities and location watching the sky divers land.

Close enough to walk to the city centre within 5 minutes. Car parking is often used and little byways to drive are pretty tight. Besides that great place with everything it says very spread out with friendly people.
