Good facilities for people who are in Queenstown to bike/ski/hike, feels more like a camp set up than a traditional hostel but there's plenty of people around. Really easy walk into town, a decent amount of parking and staff are always willing to help out.

Found hairs in our bed, Wifi that didnt work in the lodge and Coming back at night with finding out that someone has taken your bed and dumped your cloths somewhere else, staff had given the other girls the wrong room key, which is a mistake that never should happen or a normal human being would have gone back to reception aswell when they found out there wasnt enough spare beds. They didn't even give us anything for all the inconveniance (that we had to move house at 1am, we had to get up early

Nice place. I like the self-contained little cabins, but it's not really ideal for good atmosphere. It's a little far from town as well, but it makes a nice walk. Close to a grocery store so that's a bonus. There are no outlets inside the rooms, which is really inconvenient. Everyone's devices were either dead or plugged in odd corners in the kitchen.

Great place to meet fellow backpackers. Lovely to have a lounge/kitchen area in each block. Perfect for solo travellers and groups. Block I was in had a tiny kitchen with no work surface to prepare food or any cupboards to store food, not ideal when staying for a week. Also wifi really poor unless you sit outside reception or in the hub area. Would recommend

Nice chalet type hostel right under the pine forest hills of the mountain in Q'town. Decent facilities and location watching the sky divers land.

Close enough to walk to the city centre within 5 minutes. Car parking is often used and little byways to drive are pretty tight. Besides that great place with everything it says very spread out with friendly people.

Great hostel broken down into seperate units rather than one huge builiding which was really nice, but took away from hanging out with travelers other than those in your building. Good facilities and kind staff. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Although has a good location each block has too many people. Some bunks are not in good condition and don't have stairs.

Better than expected! It was nice and close to the main city. I initially thought i would be in a dorm with others (I dont mind if its necessary, but rather not to), but me and my other 2 friends (3 in total) got our own private room. They have different options and complexes. It was like a complex/house with different private rooms. The staff and place was great! The only recommendation would be to access wifi into the rooms and not only common areas.

Tiny twin room. No towels provided - had to go back to reception. Wifi advertised but not working. No soap in dispensers near toilet facilities. TV in lounge difficult to set up with 2 remotes - go into settings etc - had to call for help.

The location isn't idea being a little bit out of town but the hostel is nice, clean and the staff are great. It would be nice if the wifi worked in locations other than just the main reception area but the fact that it was free was a huge bonus (its hard to find free wifi in NZ).

Tv did not work. Floors were extremely squeaky in our area and doors slammed constantly. heard noisy neighbors come in and out in middle of night constantly. If you are ok with thin walls and noise (or bring plugs) pinewood is a decent value. Good location ten minute walk from city center.

Staff were extremely helpful

The dorms were divided in cabins, all with their own kitchen and bathroom. Really liked this, felt like a little village. Also close to nature, away from the hustle of central Queenstown but still just a short walk to town.
