Beautiful Hostel. Great Location. IT snowed while we there and it really added to the atmosphere. The room was a bit cold at night but not bad. The food in their restaurant was consistently good but a little expensive compared to the other restaurants. The Banana Pancakes were awesome. They gave us a free room upgrade and we really enjoyed our time there. Would definitely stay there again. Beautiful Hostel. Great Location. Nice place and location,building. Free pick up from train station. Dorm wasnt cleaned for a while when I arrived, no lockers and finally after someone would clean the dorm, it was left unlocked!!! Dorm is in diffrerent building than the guesthouse.Nice place and location,building. Free pick up from train station. Small but traditionally styled rooms set around a charming courtyard. We had a great few days here smack in the middle of Pingyao. The hostel also offers decent chinese and western food if you can't be bothered to stray far. Had a great time at Pingyao, it was very relaxing and the staff very friendly although keen to sell their own tours which is understandable but seemed fairly expensive. The ground floor rooms in the end seemed better as our room was above the main bar and the music woke us up. It was no real problem though and the staff were excellent and helped with train bookings and were generally very kind. The bathroom in the room could have been slightly cleaner but had hot water when needed. I love the people, the character and the place. Owner is very friendly, and they are very casual about a lot of things. Lovely atmosphere, and one of the nicer hostels with decent toilet facilities. No real complaints on this one, and they serve great coffee. Hard to find that in PingyaoI love the people, the character and the place. I had a blast! The staff were all helpful and had personality plus! The free pick-up service makes the stay even more enjoyable. I had booked a 4 bed mixed dorm and was moved to a 2 bed room. The atmosphere at the hostel is relaxed and friendly. Easy to meet people and socialise. Would have stayed longer if I could. Pingyao is by far my favorite place in China so far.I had a blast!
