One of the best hostels i have stayed in, in Oz. Very friendly and helpful staff. the free breakfast and the $6 meal at night was very good. the bar downstairs was very nice and homely, and the bar staff were extremely good and helpful, as were the $4 wines. there was plenty to do at night, from the trivia to karaoke and poker and live entertainment at the weekend.

The hostel was very dirty and the tap in the room flowed the whole night and it smelt of stali smoke.

Nice as always!

Kind stuff. Very convenient location. Good price. Very poor signal of WiFi in room 23. Not convenient sink (separate cold and hot taps) and broken bed (concave bed and standaway metal coil end) in room 23.

Cleanliness of Bathroom and Kitchen was good, typical Hostel-Breakfast with Toast and Cereals, stayed in a double room for a week and it would have been nice if someone would have cleaned the room at least once. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay, very convenient location.

Great pub with very friendly and helpful staff and management. Proximity to Melbourne city, St. Kilda beach, shops and night spots fantastic. Entertainment at pub was great fun. Safe environment. I highly recommend the pub as somewhere to stay because it was good value for my dollars.

Overall we got what we paid for! Very basic rooms. Although we were very tired we couldn't check in till 1pm, then although booked a double room in advance got given a twin, but staff did get us another room quite promptly. In the room the fan was falling apart and the TV was broken so it was a good job we were only staying there just to sleep. However, free breakfast was a bonus - even though it was just bread and cereal, tea and coffee. All in all a nice cheap friendly place to rest your head

The pub and staff there are brilliant, the rooms are basic but exactly what was required for my stay.

Very nice and helpful staff. Would be great if the kitchen area could be recreated and made into a big whole space instead of small ones. And more utensils,cups,cutlery, easily cleaned with good shelving . More hooks or shelves in the shower cubicles.

It isn't in the CBD., but good location. The hostel is about 15 Minutes from the beach and a 50 minute walk into the city. There is a tram practically right outside the hostel though and it cost 4 dollars to get into the city. The beds were clean with clean sheet, duvet, and pillow. There was a sink in the room, but that wasn't the cleanest. The bathroom wasn't exactly clean either. There isn't soap at the sink to wash your hands. The bar below gets loud on Friday and Saturday. Staff is great.

Simply not good. Noise at a massive street and above a pub. Wifi only in the pub, which sucks later in the evening. Bathrooms are very basic and could use a renovation. Hot water only in bursts. They provide towels, which is nice, but mine was very smelly and thus unusable. The mattress was way too soft; kitchen and common room are tiny. Not the best hostel I stayed in… but the staff is nice and very helpful.

Staff were great. Not enough spoons for breakfast, poured my milk on cereal then had to wait for someone to finish and wash their spoon so I could begin. Felt like a knob sitting there looking at others, eying off their spoons!
