You really get what you paid for. The place is very dirty, not only the bathrooms, but also the bedrooms. I don\'t think there is anyone is charge of the cleaning, so it can be pretty discusting to stay there. Staff is friendly, but they can give you some misleading information sometimes (that happened to me two or three times). It is difficult to sleep at night because the commom area is too close to the bedrooms, and there people talking and listening music and watching TV till very lateYou really get what you paid for. One of the best hostels I[ve stayed at. Great location (turn left for Ipenema, right for Copachabana)and so refreshing to stay somewhere were you dont feel ripped off for anything. The staff seem to genuinely care if you are having a good time or not and gave us plenty if ideas and info on what to do. OK, so it isnt the cleanest hostel ever but Ive stayed in much worse - after reading previous reveiews we thought it would be much worse but we thouht it was fine. You want cheap?Come here.You want clean? Don't come here.You have a great location, really cool & friendly staff who get you the best rates on excursions but the bathroom and kitchen are disgusting.You will either gag or just have to hold your breath everytime you go for a shower and as for cooking in the kitchen-not advised. But the location deserves the rating it gets-5 mins from Copocabana beach,3mins from Ipanema beach.The guys who run it are so helpful too.Great place for tight budgets.You want cheap?Come here.You want clean?
