very fun place, the crowd makes it work and the staff helps too. go here to meet people and be by the beach. the price was so low I was nervous, but if you don't care about looks you'll love the place.

Desinfect the place, clean the rooms and the showers, paint the walls... Change everything by 200%. It is a great location and it could be one of the best hostels in Rio!

no hot water, bed bugs, filthy rooms, trash everywhere, wet floors, disgusting as hell !not worthy even if its free

Uber-friendly staff really made the place for me. It's so cheap you don't expect much, and the place does not look so hot, but they really do go out of their way to help you with your plans. The rooms are fine, sheets, hot showers... nothing to complain about. It was half the price of every other hostel in Ipanema, so for me it was an easy choice. Don't go expecting a 5-star resort, it's a house for budget travelers. But it's right next to the beach and the crowd is quite cool.

Great place with an amazing atmosphere which is unlike any other hostel. If you dont mind putting up it being really really unclean then you will have the best time ever!

This has to be the worst hostel I have ever seen. Please do not stay here if you can help it. I am not squamish at all and currently on a gap year, been camping in Africa for 2 months & S E Asia for 4. Have been travelling before too. Never have I come across such a filthy place before. Hostel world should not be entertaining such places on their website.

The staff are really friendly and the location is 2mins from Ipanema beach, on the same road as 5star hotel FASANO

We assumed the review describing the hostel as a squat was exaggerated but it's actually not far from the truth. Great location and friendly people, but minor changes could make it much nicer. 1. Clean. Blood smeared on the mirrors, used condoms under the beds and the kitchen is disgusting. 2. Sort out the bed bug infestation. Moving people who complain and covering beds in plastic doesn't count. 3. Get lights in the bedroom and air conditioning or at least a fan. 4. Don't rip people off
