Pirwa is a very nice colonial hostal, right in the center of Cusco. Nice, clean dorm rooms with comfy beds and good blankets (it can be cold at night in Cusco). Very cool staff that organizes lots of activities without depriving anyone of a good nights rest. Nice place to stay!

The staff at Pirwa is great!! The first night we were there, they had a dinner for only 10 soles, and the food was fantastic as well as the service! Plenty of hot water in the showers and the beds were comfy and warm. The only downside is the music they have playing throughout the hostel is loud and doesnt get turned off until 11 or 12 at night.

Very dull hostel in my opinion. Rooms were cramped with loud, creeky floors and not many people socialized. Blasted music in the lobby all day, which carried into the rooms, and didn't turn it off until about 11pm so there was nowhere to get away from it. Nothing going on in the bar either. Might be ok if you have to wake up for an early morning trek because there is nothing going on, but you'll still be worried about waking people up in the cramped room.

beautiful colonial building, VERY friendly and helpful staff, clean, quiet after 11 pm. But the kitchen facilities could use some upgrading: for example no forks at all, some poor plastic cups, and some other missing basic kitchen inventory ;-) anyway, we can recommend it!

My friends and I had a great experience at Pirwa. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel itself was very charming with comfortable rooms, places to safely store your bags, and in a very good location. My friends and I booked all of our trips and tours through them. Each one was a great experience that ran very smooth and efficiently. Pirwa was the main reason that our trip to Cusco went as well as it did.

This was a great hostel. It was better than we expected concerning the price. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The showers were hot with high pressure and clean bathrooms. We would really recommend here to cook yourself a meal in their kitchen, with ingredients from the market around the corner. We stayed here for a week and that was great! The beds were very good and you get yourself a locker. Don't forget to do the free city tour with Naila, she shows you the whole city!

This is not a huge party hostel like the other ones in Cusco but the facilities are great, the beds are comfy, there is hot water, the location is excellent, and overall its a cheap place to stay. There is a bar and some really nice areas to relax as well. There is one male receptionist who is really a great worker!
