I loved this place. It's in a great location next to all of the bars, restaurants and the mall, and it has its own bar downstairs that the local college kids fill up. It has a local microbrew called Tres Cordilleras that may be the best beer I've had in South America. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the night I stayed there was a beer pong tournament AND a jacuzzi party. Really wish I could have stayed in Manizales longer.

This hostel was a total disaster. Character was stressful, security was lax (people could walk through from the pub and did), local staff were pleasant but the US American guy was such an idiot who wouldn't stop ranting on about how bad everyone else was doing and put everyone in earshot through his ranting, the hostel had overbooked and blamed guests, swore at them and tried kicking people out, bathrooms were dirty with bin overflowing, and the "jacuzzi" was more like a stagnant pool of flith.

It is located about 20 mins by bus (or 1hr by foot, which is a pleasant walk if walking for the 1st time) from the city centre. There\'s a jacuzzi, but they don\'t turn it on all the time.

The place is nice and has a lot of cool stuff, although the wireless internet barely works, the bar blasts music until about 2am that reverberates through most of the hostel rooms, and some of the posters promise a free breakfast, but no such breakfast is to be found. Otherwise the hostel is cool, great location, hot tub and ping table are a big plus.
